I went to my local Suzuki dealer today with my bike and got some interesting info about it. The service manager looked at my bike and said "Wow ive never seen one that color before." I asked him to decode the VIN number to see if I could get the paint code because I want to repaint the bike the same color. It has a few stone chips in the rear fender, and is the original paint job.. He said that it is the 873rd savage built for 1987, which I already knew, and he said it was quite rare to see both the low build number and the color option on the same bike.... my question is this, Is my bike really that rare? or is this common with Savages? :-?

It's a pretty low production bike,... 873 might even be somewhere in the middle of the run...
