Hard shell is meant to prevent skull from meeting curbes... pipes... sh!t like that. To absorb energy, the shell has to deflect, and the core deform. Great for when head meets wall. What happens when head meets telephone pole? |

Plus I like the LS on the side. Very snug fit and a great price. My helmet is a LS 2 (also) just like my bike. ;D |
