When I leave California I am really going to miss the lane splitting, I think about it all the time when I ride. It is almost worth staying, but not quite. ;D ;D ;D |

I couldn't imagine what a mess that guy would be in if he had to clutch with his foot and shift with his hand. He'd prolly already be dead. |
Title: Re: 4 Insane Things Nobody Tells You About Riding Post by ToesNose on 04/23/13 at 04:47:25 I think it's just some people's heads are wired differently. Like driving a manual transmission car, some people can go from left hand driving to right with no issue, while some people just can't drive a left handed car after being programed to drive a right hand car all their lives. Same with bikes too, I had no problem switching to right hand cars, but I had to completely concentrate driving a right foot shift motorcycle and it felt very unnatural. :o |

First motorcycle I ever rode was in 1960. It had a foot clutch and hand shift :o I had been riding scooters before then. They had hand shifts and a hand clutch all on the same grip. 8-) |
