Title: Easy Rider 44 years later

"The movie that ruined motorcycling in America"--Steve McQueen....

One of the frames didn't make it in the movie.

I personally found the movie Easy Rider extremely boring. You would have to be stoned (which the writer and director must have been) to make any sense of this movie.

The only redeeming features are the bikes themselves.

It was right for the time period it came out in. There was a large segment of the population engaged in that kind of activity.

And according to the link this year the sequel to Easy Rider, is due out in theaters.

I saw "Easy Rider" sometime way back in the early '80s, loved every minute of it - bikewise.

Saw it again last year (bough the DVD) shared it with my son, we both thought the same thing:
"nice bikes, man, cool music but the script is sh!t..."

Should they ever want to do a remake, they had better pull thier act together, else leave the old one well alone.

Incidentally, who gets to play whom ?

Peter Fonda... Willem Dafoe looks the part but is too old...

...or... should it be Johnny Depp ?

Dennis Hopper... could Owen Wilson ever look that mean ?

Jack Nicholson... anybody want to volunteer ?

Well easy rider 2 is gona be "easy rider 44 years later"? Guess it will be about 2 or 3 old dudes on trikes traveling around the country trying to stay awake while driving. There will be so many pit stops you won't be able to count them and in the back round there will be car horns honking every other scene cause they will be going so slow... LOL... just kidding. I don't see how they can do it, unless they re-do it in the era the original one was shot in.
I'll probably watch it tho, even if it is "old hippie" 1,2 or 3.... ;D

Yeh... I'd love to watch it, too...

The problem is, in my opinion, that the new script writers have no idea what it was like "back in the days" and will modify the story to adapt modern ideas etc.

Just like they did with the original Django (1966) and the remake, Django Unchained (2012).

The same applies for other remakes; sometimes they would change the title a little (or a lot) for royalty issues, but you know what I mean...

See "La Cage aux Folles" 1973 play French Play, then 1978 Italian Film, last 1996 Hollywood remake.
ALLL THREE exceptionally well made !  ;D

...

Then there's the not so good ones...  :-[
