I think it was just two guys driving beyond their abilities to keep up.  Never go faster than you feel comfortable.

May have been a combination of riding beyond abilities and target fixation for the second dude, he seemed to be wobbling a bit before the first guy had any visable issues after I watched it a second time.

Sux regardless   :-?

Riding in groups... sometimes, you get the idea, "If he can make it, so can I"...
Which is not at all true... but, there's also the possibility, that the guy in front of you can't make it,.. and you just put yer'self in the same pickle...

Most of us, like to challenge ourselves once in while... and you can learn to be a better rider doing that,.. but, make sure you are challenging your own abilities, not someone elses...
It's the basic... Ride yer' own Ride... even when you are stretching a bit...
:-?...

This was the thing I stressed to Aida when she started ridding.  If you feel uncomfortable, SLOW DOWN.  I will see you in my mirrors (eventually) and slow down.  Do not try to keep up if it doesn't feel right.  Pavement feels worse...

Ive had to Force myself to look where I Needed to go, instead of where it looked like the bike was Gonna go a coupla times, but the first time I REally remember, because it was soooo hard to look where I needed to go, instead of where I was afraid I was going. It paid off.. &, later, I Still ran over something in the road I didnt wanna hit, because I Thot I could skin by it, even IF I looked at it,, I Wuz RONG,,

Whered that guy go, anyway?

In my first trials motorcycle competition we had to cross over a small creek and then up a steep bank, and immediately turn right and continue on.  There were some small trees that made you absolutely have to turn as soon as the front wheel was on top of the bank.  On the first round I stalled the bke on the bank.....I had focused my attention on the bank.  As I was leaving that section the Section Marshall stopped me, and told me the next time to focus my attention beyond the bank and at the ground I would be riding on when I was riding away........and it worked!  The next time I breeezed thorugh that section.

On the street.....I have to remember not to look directly at the Road Kills.........
