besides the cam chain tensioner, we can go over any issues you might have... disapearing clutch rod, adjusting valves, adjusting the carb for the biggest bang or wateva

I should strap mine to a pallet and ship to you to finish... Gonna have to hoist it into the rafters and forget I have it for the next few months.

Wish I could attend but I think you are close to 3000 miles from my place.  But that is very generous of you to invite members on this forum.

it's to bad you didn't live here in E.TX other wise I'd give ya a hand,  I love wiring jobs.  This next winter I plan on totally redoing the wiring on mine and replacing all connectors I can with weather pak connectors so they are more secure and also better at keeping the water out of the connections.  Plus I'd like to do a 4 place fuse box instead of just the 2 place one so I can isolate some of the circuits like some of the add-on stuff.

ya could detune your carb you beast   8-)

Proper oil
HD clutch springs
Put washers under the springs
Think someone said slip in an extra steel plate
kevlar clutch plates
check you clutch rod length, I think 12 to 12.5mm sticking out of the clutch pack is an optimum length.  13mm is too long.

I tell ya, I hate traffic, dang hand cramps up halfway home.   ;D
One of these days I'll have to see if the hydraulic clutch mod will lighten it up some.

Considering the 3 month battery life, it has either a fried stator or a fried regulator. If it's lucky it won't end up in the burn pile. Fixin' to wash my hands of the whole mess. The 50 year old Honda too... what lurks behind its clutch cover is a locked up mess. Both have hit the no longer worth the headaches worth more to me as targets stage.

Versy, I think you need to make a trip to
our area. Their are enough of us here that
could and I am sure would help with the
gas and expenses.
To meet and have a wrenching session as
well as riding time, would be an honor.
So how about it? Are you in?
Keeping fingers crossed...  :)

Whatchertalkin'aboot, Wyllis?  ;D

1st things 1st, thanks for correcting that "engrish" of mine... ::)

Secondly, what's this about a registration fee?

Do we get handouts? Tea and scones? Coffee and biscuits? Cola and sandwiches?
:D
Table dancing ?  ;D ;D ;D

I can't detune my carb, Verslagen, I ain't finished enjoying myself !

I had been told about washers compressing the springs, I'll do that (the next time I come round to removing the exhaust... :P)

Ahhh... riding season at last !!!  8-)

The events of the meeting are secret, and so are the benefits of registering.   8-)

I don't get it. What is this - a class for people who've never seen inside an engine or something?

I believe Versy has graciously offered his time and residence to have some people from the forum over to discuss bikes and whatnot, probably over a beer or softdrink. Bike chicks and dudes hanging out on a Saturday afternoon, what could be better?

Nope, no wrenching here, just sitting around drinking beer and shootin' pool.

You'd have to beat the scrap value after the fun of turning them into little chunks...

Neither one is worth dumping any more time or money into.

Got home a little while ago. It was awesome!! MJ got an oil change, a new chain tensioner and muffler. Had Angus beef dogs, coleslaw, greek pasta salad and peanut-apple-raisin salad. We have a tentative plan to meet again in two months where I will get my tensioner and who knows what else.

I rode with MJ till we hit the 57 where I am sure he was happy to ditch the slow-poke with the almost broken in engine  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks to Versy for his time and inviting us to his abode. Best of luck with those other project bikes!!!

corrected
