Post by ToesNose on 04/05/13 at 04:22:51

I'm not looking for a three wheeler, but I know alot of people on the forums talk about them and this one seemed like an steal for $2,448. Just passing the info along.

Up, that is a steal ... next door neighbor bought one for his missus a couple of years ago ... purchased pre-owned and paid around $12 or $13,000CDN for it ...

I've ridden one both as driver and passenger ... as driver, found it too much "work" ... as passenger was enjoyable.

Looks like a scam.  It has been flagged for removal in the Charlotte Craigslist.  I also saw the same ad this morning in the Wichita Craigslist.

Too good to be true?  Than it is!

I saw a Scamp trailer on Craigslist that was a great deal and would have sold to the first one that went to look at it.....it was very nice and very cheap.  The trailer belonged to someone in the military and you had to go pick the trailer up at a storage place.....and he had a link to a YouTube videio of it.....and the video had 1,000+ views.  It didn't smell right.

I started searching the Craigslist for other cities around the country, and sure enough the trailer could be found in a whole bunch of different cities.  I flagged each one that I found and even sent an email to Craigslist about it......SCAM!

When you see adds that strike you as odd, try http://www.tineye.com/ to check them.  You would be surprised where those photos turn up...

I don't doubt it's a hoax now, I've looked online now and the cheapest one I could find was $4,500 not running.  I just knew that a few people have discused them and figured I'd link it up.

@houstonbofh- Cool idea a backwards photo directory. Oddly the Can-Am turned up ZERO finds, not even the Craig's List posting.

That means that they do not leave the photos up long enough to index...
