Hello guys.
Just bought a 97 savage and some parts from the blue collar bobber kit. One of the parts is the seat, and i had to chop the rear of the frame.
My question is: Do i have to fill or weld the holes in the frame now?
Thought when I wash it and if the water settles to the bottom of the frame

This is my first bike btw... ;)

Got any corks?... or try Ace Hardware... they have a nice assortment of rubber chair feet..
Way cheaper than welding... ;)...

I wonder if a beer bottle cap would fit?... :-?...

Sand it and hit with a little black paint. It is covered by seat plate anyways and unless you chopped it real low you did not make an opening into the frame. I also have a Blue collar bobber kit on mine.

I cut it just the same as the guy from bcb, but I think the water will come in from the side if i use a hose.. Ill try with some fiberglass padding just in case. Dont wont the frame to rust from the inside (?) ...

then again I didnt put the last plate on yet.. Ill have one more look

You can put a little bit of plastic or paper wadded up...then use some black caulking, RTV silicone or body filler to fill up the hole. Or you could put some plugs in if the frame rails are round and a common size. I used some tapered rubber plugs on my Cafe' build and I sanded them on a belt sander until they fit in the holes.....then glued them into place with RTV silicone (black gasket maker).

How much did that BCB kit cost? Ive emailed them a couple times and havnt gotten any response.

I ended up paying 1000 for most of the kit.

Are you sure you got the right email?
I am very happy with the service at bcb, but now that im learning more about the bike, I wish I had done more by myself.
