Title: My bike was running, stopped, and will not start. Post by 1bozo on 03/19/13 at 09:16:15 On Friday night I noticed my taillight was flickering. I rode Saturday about 30 miles and Sunday about 15 miles. I cranked up my bike and let it warm up. I noticed I had a turn signal out. About 4 minutes later my bike died. It will not crank. I checked the connections to the battery, tight. I took the battery and had it checked, good. Where do I go from here? Thanks....I am truly a beginner. |

(fuses are under the seat at the right rear area)... (there are two)... ... but,.. if the short is still touching metal,.. it'll blow again... |

I know you said you had the battery checked but I think you need to go back to that before you do anything else. Re-check the connections at the battery. If you have a charger hook that up for a while and see if at least the lights come on when you turn on the key. If you don't have a charger see if you can figure out a way to jump start the bike from an external battery. If you are unsure about how to do this try to find someone who knows how. If you have a voltmeter, check the voltage across the battery terminals. A good battery will read between 12 and 13 volts. It's not unheard of for a battery to suddenly go completly dead with no warning. |

You have a complete battery disconnect, whether it be a fuse or bad connectio, either ground or positive.. But, if it is a fuse, you are always left w/ the problem of "why did the fuse blow" That may not be so easy to find or fix. |
