;D Hello my swedish friend. You cannot fool us. Only if you would have spikes I would even wonder this to be possible.

Street tires on the ice? You definitely got some big ones.

How many times have you put that thing down on ice or snow? If it were me there wouldnt be much left on either side of that bike.

Two words... tire chains. It IS kinda fun though, and to see the look on cagers faces as you go by on a bike... ;D My friend Doug will ride in up to 5 inches of snow on his 1500 Drifter.

You'd probably get along with Digger.
Me? I'm waiting until it's ~45 degrees when I wake up and after the streets have been swept free of salt.

I love'd to try chains, but there is'nt room enogh cos i changed my rear tire to a bigger one. Last weeek we had -18*celsius and that is cold i can tell. The worst parts to protect is the fingers on the throtelhand, the left hand is easy to warm up on the engine while driving :-)

What gloves do you use?

Old Swedish army thumbgloves when under -0celsius, dont know what that's in fahrenheit, tryed with fingerglove's but they dont work when it's reealy cold. The biggest problem when driving in a lot of snow is that the airfilter will be coverd whit snow and the bike sometimes therefore will die

think he means mittens

0° C = 32° F

I figured mittens. I keep looking at them. When I decide on the "right" pair, winter will be over.  ;D  I made the mistake of going to a biker leather/helmet/accessory shop and asking for mittens. I got some hardcore stares. I typically have the only metric in the parking lot as well. They don't mind me much though as I spend a great deal of money there.

Don't visit that kind of shop's to often, i try to find my kind of stuff in army surplus store's. Biker shop's love our money but they dont know nuts when it come's to extrem bikeriding as i do, and they are expensive to. Greg, you have to buy you a Harley for your peace when visiting the local shop. ;-)
