Title: Niki's Savage
Post by Niki on 02/20/13 at 11:34:54

Hi there,

Also posted in the "introduce yourself" over at the Cafe, but wasn't allowed to add a pic before I made 1 "real" post.

So here it goes  :)

Bought this last year, a 1997 with 34000 km on it. Was in pretty good shape, but really needed a good clean up.

I made some small mods to it, wider handlebar, 2 4" lights, Raask dragpipe and a re-spray.

Really don't plan on any other mods. Was thinking of doing a 15" 130 frontwheel, but that would rule out a fender and as much as it rains in this country, that's not an option  :)

That's because I'm behind the camera  ;)

I'll try and get a picture taken with me on it.

I love the color.
Do you guys have goofy (not normal looking to me) license plates?

It looks like the motorcycle plate is the same size as a car/truck plate here.

Thanks for the Nice comments.
Yes the Color is beautiful, but acctually some what darker irl.
The license plate i rectangular, kinda big about 8x8"
I just left it on the original mount, I don't like the look of it mounted on the side.

Love those Raask pipes. They're pretty expensive for us here on the other side of the pond.

I could imagine that. I payed a little over 400 $ incl shipping send directly from Raask.
I guess the shipping across the pond is what kills the deal.

For me the $400 without the shipping already kills the deal, although I wish I had one.

Well, the only alternative here is the Silvertail muffler and that's about the same price. At least with the Raask you get a full system.

The Dyna muffler is not an option here, as they are pretty expensive. Even old banged up ones cost around 350$

Seems to me we need to get a container load of Dyna muffler from a local Harly Dealer......and send a container load of them over for big profits!

Haha, yeah great idea.

Although we don't have that many Savy's here. So I guess the amount to be sold is limited.

But I'm really satisfied with the Raask. It looks clean and give the thumper a really cool low growl. At least until you open it up, then it roars like hell!
