Title: Suzuki S40 Feeler Gauges Post by Jason on 02/19/13 at 16:18:49 I'm trying to buy feeler gauges for my 2005 S40. I have no idea where to buy them. The space to work in in there is extremely tight, so I was looking for bent feeler gauges. I checked Amazon.com, Sears, searched this forum, but I can't find any bent feeler gauges for .003-.005in. Any one had this problem before? Any idea where I can buy offset gauges for that width? Do you guys just bend your own gauges? Was hoping to not have to destroy them. |
Title: Re: Suzuki S40 Feeler Gauges Post by PerrydaSavage on 02/19/13 at 16:39:36 I've owned a couple of Suzuki LS650s over the years ('03 Savage & '05 S40) ... buy an extra set of feeler gauges at Crappy Tire ... they don't cost much ... and bend those suckers! Works like a charm! :) |

Dave, save me a set and I'll either get them from you when we go to the Dragon or maybe run over your way this spring. |

Title: Re: Suzuki S40 Feeler Gauges Post by WD on 02/19/13 at 22:14:52 Autozone, Pep Boys, O'Reilly, Advanced, NAPA, Carquest, National, Federated, Fleet Pride, Truck Pro, Tractor Supply Company, Walmart (sometimes), K-mart (sometimes), "Horror Fright" (Harbor Freight, really low end junk), Northern Tool (expensive version of Harbor Freight)... Bike specific sources? Motion Pro, K&L Supply, local Honda or Yamaha dealership (who both can also get valve wrench/screwdriver combos), Cycle Gear (make them open a paper catalog), Western Power Sports, Drag Specialties, Custom Chrome, J&P Cycles... I used to be in the bike industry and own a LOT of "obsolete" farm machinery (and 2 1990s Suzukis and 2 OLD Hondas). Oddball tools aren't that odd at my place. ;) |
