I am almost finished, I painterd her with rustoleum brown primer and rustoleum almond and clear coated it with Spray X 2K. If you have not used this product it is fantastic. I made an xtra piece and poured gasoline, laquer thinner and acetone on it and it wiped off and shined like new.

NICE!!
The color is great; gives it a classy, vintage feel.

I like it a lot.  The BCB mirrors are nice.  Put something on the set screws as mine backed out and I lost one.  Easily replaced at hardware store.  My bike is very similar, but with Broomstick bars.  I have not tore it down for painting but that is the first thing I do this spring.

Lookin good! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I like the way you did away with some of the chrome(handle bar, battery box, exhaust).  I also like the brown upholstery and stripes.

Johnny 57, would like to see a pic of the build. I love to put things togetheer do paint work and detail stuff but I am not a fabricator, therefore the BCB approach is ideal. I dont know what you have planned for paint but for ANYONE that is interested in doing a gloss paint job you can do it yourself. The SprayMax product is just awesome. Do your color work. sand it smooth with 2000 grit and shoot the sprayMax. Sand the Spraymax with 2000 and shoot a secound coat. This stuff goes down great. It looks good enough that I wont bother with polishing it out but if you do It Will look like a proffesional job. Caution: you must wear a resperator when shooting the SprayMax product. Is it pricey? yes but how else can you get such a good paint job for about $150 and a little time.

That is green 3M vinyl on the sidecovers.  You are right about doing it myself as I am probably capable but I have a friend who has been a painter for 40 years and when he does things for me it looks soooo much better.  I really am torn between using Vinyl wrap or a paint job.  The vinyl is so cool and there are Youtube videos showing the whole process.  I still have not decided.  If I do not try it I feel as if I am wussing out.

MShipley and Johnny57 both very nice rides, I am in the process of putting the BCB kit on my bike too. Really like that brown with the racing stripe!   From the looks of it, you both went with the small seat kit ?

REally dig the color, the mirror mounts are unlike any Ive seen. How are they for vibration?
REar fender looks great, the bags are cool & functional.. win win win,,

Aaaaand ya kept the front fender! I think Rowboats fender extender is a great idea. Id do it, if I was keepin the bike..
