You gonna put a guard on the front pulley? As is, ANYthing that goes in that pinch point is GONNA get crushed, off.

YOu dont ride on wet roads? Or dirty roads? Must be nice.. Ive wished my front fender was longer, maybe even wider at the back bottom,I get little bits of junk off the front tire under my chin sometimes.. I cant imagine having No fender, at all..
The overall look is good, seat looks comfy & thats a step forward for sure.
Palladin,, I swear, that guys seat looks like a dream.

Are you planning to support back fender somehow? Otherwise looks clear and simple.

Where did you hide the battery?

Weight capacity alone isn't a good indicator of fender stability. You're going to have issues with the way it sits. Our engines put out a LOT of vibration, that fender is going to crack and/or get one serious twist put into it. I run a full sized Shovelhead FL fender on mine, and used a VN800A rear side reflector mount to brace the fender to the end of my oversized exhaust pipe. I need to make a stronger brace, the fender is taking a set (twist) and keeps snapping the brace bolts. It has run the same fender since 2007, the brace since 2007, and is on roughly brace to tailpipe bolt number 50... I'd just redrill for a 1/4" bolt but the brace hole is already as big as it can get without compromising the brace itself.

If you look at a bone stock Savage from the rear, you can see the twist in the factory fender. They all do it to some degree, the frame isn't perfectly square across the mounts. Once they get a few thousand miles on them the fender twist becomes more obvious. The factory unit is insufficiently braced, so...

The battery is not installed in those pics It will be in the same spot as the original only less than half the size so I will make a new box for it!  I'm gonna see what the fender does the first ride or 2 it is a really heavy duty one made for a boat trailer so I'm not sure if I will have those issues but thanks for the advice

Bubba1 its lookin good!  I got to get some pics of my bobage (yup I made it up...it's a bobber/bagger(ish) build) on my computer so I can post them on here.  I've always been a fan of the bobber style so my comment is awesome!

That rear fender may be strong enough to ho0ld weight, but there is a vibrational signal that runs thru these bikes that is so strong it literally whips the stock fender sideways in an oscillation so hard that it will confuse the eyes the first time you see it. My girl was riding away & accelerating hard & I couldnt even read the plate it was swinging so hard side to side. Have someone watch that thing a few times before you decide it needs no support, okay? REports of broken license plates arent uncommon on these.

I will definitely take all that into account and be very cautious first ride or so and if it is vibrating badly I will put some struts on it I will be doing a few quick test rides to work out the bugs before just jumping on and taking a journey !  Thanks again

Has anyone else ran there bikes with the front belt guard off?  It looks so much better but don't know if its worth the possible consequences ??

Yep, takes about a week to pick all the bits of molten shoe lace from between the pulley and the  case.  ::) I even put the top belt guard back on after a flying grocery bag wrapped up in the belt and got jammed in between the engine and front pulley.

Bikes definitely look better without the guards, but it wasn't worth it to me. I hate cleaning the bike, I run a front fender again now. Picking raw road tar out of the engine fins isn't much fun.

Hey man, I think it looks good. I will offer a few "style" opinions, but that is all they are.....opinions. If you like the over all look, then roll it like it is.

First, since the rear fender is getting a lot of press, let me comment on it. Everybody's concern about strength, vibration etc would be put to rest if you cut that thing a lot shorter as is a more traditional "bobber" style. Cut it back so it just goes to about the middle of the wheel. It will have a lot less leverage on the mounts. I also think the fender should hug the tire a lot more, but in order to do so you would need to mount it to the swingarm so it moves with the tire. Otherwise you would need to hardtail it with some struts. Hardtailed with a short fender 1/2" off the tire would look cleaner imo. Not everyone wants a hardtail though!

I would cut off the part of the frame sticking up over the rear fender and get that solo seat mounted down on top of the backbone of the frame instead of haveing all that space.

The tank, and exhaust look awesome. The pod filter looks nice. It looks like you did a nice job of hiding the electrics a bit too. The fork gaitors look cool. I would lower the front end maybe a couple of inches. It is basically free if you make the tool and the spacers yourself.

Like I said these are just ideas, certainly not criticisms. If you like the look of it, it is yours and who cares what I or anybody else thinks right?

I know what your saying about the rear fender but I love the way it looks once I sit on the bike it gets closer to the tire with just enough space to clear big bumps ,  as for lowering the front I totally agree and that will be done soon ! Like I said its not finished just almost ready to ride some, I drove it today just around the block a few times and all seemed good.
