Not going to make a big deal of it- just a bottle of champagne tonight. We have known each other for 43 years. We "courted and sparked" for three years before we got married. Her first cousin and my first cousin got married in 1970, and we met at the wedding. Our secret to success? Simple- know when to stop an argument.

Edit: We decided to go to Margueritaville to celebrate. ;)

That's a decent mile stone in this day of short runs. I will be hitting our first 10 at the end of May.

Congratulations, you have done goood.

My wife and I are at Myrtle Beach as I type, spending some "Personal Time" and celebrating our 1st year together in wedded bliss. :)
It is supposed to be 70 the next 2 days so outside play should be "fundable".

I'll add my congrats too. My wife and I celebrated 42 years on 1/17/13.
Do you remember that great philosophical question about if a tree falls in forest and there is no one there to hear it, does it still make a noise?
Well, the real question is: if a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?
When my daughter got married 4 years ago, right before the wedding I told my future son in law that he would learn four words that day, and to remember them well - I Do, and Yes Dear.

Just read this, yay, man, 40 is GOOD !

My wife and I celebrated 23 last 12/23 and we're already planning for 25 !

(24 ? Oh, sure, dear, 24 too...)

BTW, My motto is "Yes Dear, you're always right, except when I'm wrong..."

The Big 20 coming up in a year.
When I said that to someone he said yea, I've been married 20 years this year too ... Now, I knew he was married atleast once before ... I asked him Oooo 20 years with this one ... he said ... naaa, this one is just 5, 20 total ... to 3 different women. :o

I have two cousins- one is on his third marriage and his brother is on his fourth. My BIL has been married five times! :-?

My wife and I have 5 coming up in Oct this year. I can only hope that we make it to 40. Her fathers parents were married 52 years before grandpa passed away. That's a he!! of a goal.

My wife and I are coming up to 13 years married this summer and this month marks 15 years together.

As for some oft married ones that others have mentioned, my mother-in-law and my wife's sister and step sister have 15 marriages between them. Five, four and six respectively. My wife and I are each married once before.
