Title: wink two eyes Post by wambr on 01/23/13 at 01:00:53 actually the idea to make an alarm on the savage.. to be somewhere on the road identify themselves in that case (God forbid of course). well, or give a sign in the road traffic jams... guys, someone has already done something similar? while my head was formed - connect mini-rocker switch to turn signals through a separate fuse... |

Title: Re: wink two eyes Post by Dave on 01/23/13 at 04:57:24 If you mean "emergency flashers" - my 2007 model already has them built in. Not sure if the early models had them, or what the Euro versions have. I already used them one night when a sport bike was broken down next to the middle island in a left turn lane on a busy road. The sport bike has some crappy tail light that was LED's and not very visible and people came up on the bike and didn't see it. I pulled up behind them and pot my flashers on - and it made the situation much safer. I am buiding a Cafe conversion - and I am going to use good turn signals for this safety concern....I want be be visible and safe. |
Title: Re: wink two eyes Post by Paraquat on 01/23/13 at 06:06:58 My c50 came with passing lights. Most people disassemble the switch and wire their garage door openers to it. Someone here said they use them all the time before changing lanes. --Steve |
Title: Re: wink two eyes Post by wambr on 01/23/13 at 10:53:39 Yes, of course I meant the emergency flashers... on my savage 95 there is no such lights on, but this is a quite useful thing... the alarm siren in Russia, too, violates the law.. |
Title: Re: wink two eyes Post by greenmonster on 01/23/13 at 13:16:44 I love the title of this thread. I've always heard them called 4-way flashers, but when you think about a signal light being called a 'blinker' then, wink two eyes just makes sense. It gave me a good chuckle. |
Title: Re: wink two eyes Post by jcstokes on 01/23/13 at 15:27:07 In New Zealand, they're called "hazard"lights |
Title: Re: wink two eyes Post by oldNslow on 01/23/13 at 16:23:46 Around here they're called "Wait-a-minute lights". As in, "Quit blowin' yer d**m horn at me! I got my wait-a-minute lights on!" |
