I love that thing...but I also wonder if I would pay much for it...not very utilitarian

In California it would be legally a "motorcycle". Not legal on the sidewalk (the video shows him on the sidewalk and the specs on his website talks about riding on the sidewalk and 20 mph on the streets.) It would be legal on the streets, but with a 20 mph max it would be useless in California. I can get a mobility scooter that can go faster (some can do over 35mph) AND a mobility scooter is legal on the sidewalk.

In Oregon where he is, it would be a motor assisted scooter. Not legal on any street with a speed limit of over 25 mph. Not legal on the sidewalk even it they show it being used on the sidewalk.

Basically, just another cool toy that is useless.
