Title: Ignition timing
Post by Demin on 01/12/13 at 10:58:44

Is there away to change the ignition timing at all?I looked through the manual and on here, just haven't found anything or I just missed it.

I have an '87 that I put an '02 engine in.I put the '87 flywheel in the '02 engine. It seems like maybe the ignition is too far advanced. It's hard to crank. Then when it does start on shutdown I'm getting alot of kickback.

you got to use the 02 flywheel with the 02 cdi

and vise versa.

I thought I read if you use the '87 flywheel and the CDI it waqs good. ::)

Still has the '87 wiring harness.

I guess I'll pull the cover and see if I can slot the holes where the pickup bolts in. :(
