Title: Rider's backrest? Post by lacon on 12/09/12 at 13:48:45 I have one on another bike & really miss not having one on the S40. (2006 with the single seat & no passenger backrest) I'm 69 & my back is just not what it used to be. How about info &/or photos from those who have adapted something that works? Or links to manufacturers? Or maybe adapting a seat with a backrest from a different bike? Also, anybody tried something temporary that could be strapped on just for a 200-300 mile ride & left off for around town riding? |
Title: Re: Rider's backrest? Post by Greg on 12/09/12 at 14:13:06 I played with adapting stuff. I finally purchased one from Protac. He made me custom mounts as I am a large around the middle rider. Let him know your concerns about your height and he will make it work. http://www.protac.net/ http://files.thebenics.com/bike/backrest/back%20rest%202.jpg |

Title: Re: Rider's backrest? Post by Paraquat on 12/11/12 at 11:07:01 I haven't decided what I like about bikes like that. With the "tombstone" on back and a sleeping bag rolled up. Some can pull it off and some can't. Anyway, the only person I know with a driver's back rest is Greg and he already posted. --Steve |
