No wheels= no gyroscopic effect= fall over. ;D
Bouncing off that tiny seat onto the track= instant removal of all hemorrhoids. ;D

When I was a kid I took a 20" bicycle and removed the wheels, and bolted some old skis on the bottom.  Yep.....remove the rotating wheels and you have nothing to help keep you vertical.  It was pretty much useless as you were always jamming your feet in the snow to stay upright.

Wambr, I always cherish your philosophical trivia.   It seems like something always gets lost in the translation, but somehow makes it even better.

Dave, yes, wheels on a cycle are gyroscopes.   This is why you can let go of the handlebars at 60mph and remain among the living.

Slolem swaterskying, or snowboarding.  No wheels, and no gyroscopic effect.  Do not fall...  Another example is the Wet Bike.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fcvwjnSHVM

As for the kidney buster, I agree!

and here's more about the benefits of a motorcycle the Main benefit of motorcycles is that they, by eating various hydrocarbons, contribute to the purification of the environment. For the year bikes all over the world destroy 950 thousand tons of oil, which had not come, motorcycles, would cover a uniform layer of all the forests, fields and roads and to make life on earth impossible.

In addition, motorcycles indirectly contribute to the intensification of natural selection among the people, destroying together with the individuals with the lowest response rate and the lowest IQ. Unlike other animals, devices and appliances that perform similar functions, motorcycles least likely to endanger the life and health of other people. Usually, when a man on a motorcycle fire alarms and then kills himself against the wall, the latter need only to a minor repair. ;D

Those things get whatever stability they have from the width of the contact surface. That's why skidoo's have two skis.

Yea he's gunna need two skis up front to make this thing stable enough to use on the snow   :-?  Unless he's only going straight on perfectly smooth flat land LOL.

I had 2 45 inch (750cc) Harleys with the factory snowmobile conversion kits you could buy in the 50s. They worked great, I absolutely destroyed the ski run outside of Troy Idaho with one of mine... slight slope rope tow old fashioned ski area.  ;D

@EJID- ski bikes are a bit of a different beast then the monster Wambr posted up in the picture.  They are smaller and most importantly have a much smaller and narrower track, having a 4 1/2 to 5 foot track is going to make more contact with ground and making more contact with uneven surfaces. The wide flat profile of the track will also make the bike rock side to side on rough surfaces, this is why full sized snow mobiles have two skis.

Comparing ski bikes to a modded HD with a full sized track and a raked out front end is Apples to Oranges.  ::)
