North West corner of New York State. Dec.4. 60 degrees at 9:30AM.
Blue Sky. I don't know what's up with the weather but I'm not wasting it. Going for a ride. :)

The thermometer in my car read 72 degrees on the way home last night, and I went for a lap around the country roads just after I got home. I rode uphill away from the river bottoms this time as I know how cold the low areas can be in the shadows along the river. At one point I even got a bug smashed on my visor!

Each day I squeeze one more ride in I feel like it may be the last one for the year, and one of these days it will be.

0920 Memphis time, 72* out and relative humidity of 94%. Too warm to go hunting, too damp to work on the bike.

4 days of 60+ highs and mid 40 lows in charlotte NC, OK saturday it was colder in the morning, like 38. But it hit the mid 60's that afternoon and never looked back.

Been in the 50s-high 60s here as well for a few days...doesn't bother me any cause 32* is a wee bit cold on the ride into work in the morn...that and the bike runs a whole heck of alot better! 8-) 8-) 8-)

People get all freaked out over the planet getting warmer but all I can think about is how half the land on the planet is so cold that it's almost uninhabitable. Doesn't 1mile-deep ice covering almost an entire continent seem more strange than a warm planet?

Weather does change but MAN has nothing to do with it.
If we have the power to change the planets weather then we have the power to stop a hurricane or tornado or even a small thunderstorm.
The thought of being able to do something like that is simply foolish and insanely arrogant. The power inside just one thunderstorm cell is on the order of a pile of nuc's.
The planet has always had weather cycles.
It happens every day, season, year, decade.half century, millennium, etc.
It will continue.
Global weather is continually in motion and is plain as day when watching satellite video's.
It runs in cycles and yet there is uniqueness every day.
Finger prints & retina's, DNA...billions of them and yet every one is unique.
Ever watch a cloud moving across the sky ? It is constantly changing it's shape. Every cloud is unique.

I'm with you Lancer. I'm all for ecology, recycling, repurposing and making a smaller carbon foot print, but that's just for future generations to help them. As for the Earth, we're just ants and I think it's funny that people think we can influence things like global warming on a notable level. She'll shrug us off after the human race is long gone and keep doing her own thing including climate changes and all that good stuff :)

But yes enjoy the beautiful days to the fullest!!!! And RIDE ;)
