Enjoy it, and at the risk of offending some on this forum, leave it as is.

"traded it in for a Harley?????????"  What were they thinking?  To give up 1/2 of a dependable V-twin is silly! ;D ;D ;D  GREAT looking S40!

He or she should have kept this bike and add the Harley. Having both would be a great start for a stable.  ;)

That gold and black was by far the best looking paint scheme from the factory through the years.  In this case, I have to agree! 8-)

With respect SALB, the pearl and silver combo offered in 2008 -2010 was better. This was a significant reason I brought mine. Colour is in the eye of the beholder.

Yep, having two is great, but three makes a more stable stable.

In my book N + ! is the right number of bikes. N=number you have += plus and 1= the next bike you need/want to buy.

Famed Yamaha champion rider Kenny Roberts lives just down the road from me a few miles.   The way I made this discovery was kinda interesting...

My son and I were fishing at Turlock reservoir a few years back.   We had ridden my Beemer down to the lake, and walked down to the shoreline maybe 50 feet away.   As we were a fishing, an older gent came walking by and struck up some small talk.   He asked how I liked the Beemer (GS1100), and I told him it was a great bike.  He said he had ridden many bikes in the old days, but really hadn't much Beemer experience.  He then made a surprising comment saying he had about 60 or 70 motorcycles up in his garage (pointing to a nearby hill with a big barn structure).   At this point, I was thinking "Oh yeah, right!" and that he was just an old windbag.   He then reached out his hand and introduced himself as Paul Roberts and we shook hands.   He said you probably have never heard of me, but maybe you've heard of my nephew Kenny, or his son Kenny Jr?   He pointed to another house a little ways off to the west and said that's Kenny's house over there!   We finished our conversation, with him inviting me to ride up to his property and look at his "stable" (actually Kenny's), but it got to be too late after we finished fishing, so we went on home.
