That looks like it would work far better then the "BACK OFF" mudflaps at keeping tailgaters off your butt!

I rode to see a buddy once, found a great deal on this:

A more impressive looking than it actually is .22lr.  But how do you get a rifle home on a motorcycle?  I strapped it on just like that guy did and rode home.  I am reasonably certain I was legal, but I also figured I would draw attention.  I was out in the country and had to bypass a school (which would have been a no-no).  But I made it home with absolutely no problems.

That is some scope!  Not often you see one that big on an AR, more like a sniper/hunter's scope.

Open carry is allowed in Arizona. Not sure about Texas.
I disassembled mine and put it in a pool cue case strapped to my back before.

In Cali, he's likely to get pulled over to find out if it was loaded, he should take out that clip.

You should have seen the people scramble when I went in to an elementry school with my banjo strapped to my back!  I had been invited by a fiddler to play for a kids square dance class.......and I hadn't been in an elementry school in years.  How did I know I was supposed to stop at the office and register?   The next week they just waved me past.......while grinning!

From what I can tell by the picture, the guy has a .308 AR10 rifle. If so, that would explain the large scope and sunshade.

That would certainly make a lot more sense then an AR15 5.56   ;)

I would be more impressed if he was carrying the 50 cal sniper rifle.  Yeah, thats it.

LMAO JOG!

I have no idea (don't want to know) about the size of his 'clip'.

The magazine and overall proportions of the rifle looks like an AR10

Me thinks you are correct. I thought it was a 20 rnd mag but given the length it could be an AR10. Whether it be DPMS or Armalite I cannot tell. Can't see the buffer tower.

Since that scope has a right large sun shade on it, it might be a .223 prairie dog rig and he's going out to make him some most delicate pink mist up against the background of the gently setting sun ....

...well, you don't see that every day in the north-country...really scary IMO.

And this guy can just ride around like that??

Wipe your feet before entering the Cafe.

No politics, no religion.

When I lived on L.I., N.Y. in the 90's my bike was my only transportation for a stint.  I used to ride to the range with my Ruger mini14 slung over my shoulder in a sleeve, never had any issue and even had a cop follow me briefly once.

Technically he's illegal, pop the mag and open the bolt and it becomes a non-issue. But, since it slung the way it is, he can't reach around and bring it active so I doubt he'd be hassled.

I carry an "empty" (per TCA, TN Code Annotated) .45 with me in the truck a lot. I just put the percussion caps back on when I get to where I want to shoot. Perfectly legal.
