Title: Still around
Post by kimchris1 on 10/30/12 at 18:42:45

Well after working 7 nights straight, I finally
have a night off. For the last month I have
been working 6 per week.
O.T. was opened up, offered and I am taking
advantage of it.
So that explains the reason I have been vacant
from here.
Before our weather turned colder and the fall rains
started, I was enjoying some nice riding to and from
work. It was nice to have the bike when gas rose to
$4.00 per gallon.
I have had to resort back to my 2005 Hyundai Tucson.
The plus is it has a radio and winshield wipers..  ;D ;D
Draw back is the mileage is not as great as the bike.
I hit a deer the other night on the way to work. It did not
kill the deer yet did some damage to my front bumper.
Hubby thinks about $3,000 worth.
Good news is I carry full coverage and also have rental use
included. So my o.t. will atleast allow me to pay the $500.
deductable.
Of course I had hoped to use the o.t. money for something
else yet that is now how life works, is it?
I am still doing the gym 2 to 3 times per week as well as Zumba
3 nights per week. I am 9 lbs from my goal still.
The last few lbs are being stubborn.
I wonder if the couple cookies I allow myself per day is causing
that?  ;)
So as you can read, I am staying very busy and loving it. Now that
fall and the rains have arrived, I can at least sleep and not think of
getting some yard work done as I did when the weather was nicer.
These darker, rainy days make it easier to sleep..
So my buds, take care, xoxoxox and know I think of you often.
I hope your all feeling well and that those of you on the East coast
get thru this horrible storm without too much damage.
Also I will hopefully get back here from time to time a little sooner.

A couple of cookies a day,.. keeps the doctor away...

I think you're earning them cookies... ;)...

The closer you get to a goal weight,.. the slower the pounds come off...
Your weight is now getting close to your caloric intake,... so pounds come off slower, like coasting down to a stop...
... just be patient, and keep up the great work...

Pink leather this winter?... :-?...

Overtime, eh? I haven't heard that word in a while. We've been on 20hrs the past few weeks. I'm glad I live off of tuna and rice!

In my opinion...AND IT IS NOT HUMBLE...you have already done what you set out to do. You changed your lifestyle (and in the process cast us Savage riders aside like a used up IRC tire  ;D).  Now you'll probably buy one of those Keurig coffee makers and sit around with a cat on your lap sipping coffee and reading detective novels. We're still behind you! Keep going slow but steady. Sorry about the deer and glad you weren't on the bike. Boofer  :)

When you hit the gym do you do a similar workout regularly? If so you can actually plateau and stop seeing changing results, so try changing your routine as much as possible.  If not the cookis may have to go LoL   :D

Bot, I am hoping to get the Pink leathers soon..
I have just wanted to wait till I lost the final 9..
Then again after hitting the deer with the Tucson,
I now have to use that $$$ for the deductable.
I am very happy that it didn't happen when I
was on the bike..
Toes, I have changed my workout several times
this past year to accomodate when I plateaued.
I just recently changed it up again, so now that
will help not only tone the muscles more yet help
with the final 9..
I have some Zumba pics to share soon. That is a
great workout as well... Hugs to all.. :) kim

Oh Boofer, you know I will never cast you
all aside for good.
I have too many good friends and have enjoyed
learning so much about my bike from all the techs
here.
The o.t. won't last much longer and that is why I am
grabbing all they will allow me to work. Of course my
body at times wonder with Fall and Winter approaching
why I am not letting it hybernate?
Well I tell it no rest, as I am very wicked... xoxox :) kim

Comgrats on all that you have accomplished so far, the revision of your life  style is great.  Having just watched cookie monster with my 3 yr old grandson I think he would forbid giving up the cookies. CM did suggest, after much deliberation, that if there is only one cookie left and two of you want it, that you should share..althought anyone could see he was being politically correct...he really was thinking snatch the cookie and run. ;)

Those pink and black leathers are something to behold. Hmmm, Hm.

Kimmy, glad you are hanging in there!  I too have been working like crazy.  Not alot of overtime, maybe 3-5 hours a week, but an extra half-hour in the morning sure feels like a couple hours!
Congrats on your weight loss and those final 9 will come off eventually.  You have the mental part kicked now!  You won't revert, so let the 9 pounds take their good ole time.!

Can't wait to see those Zumba pics!  Don't forget to post them...   ;)

hugs sista

Justin, eat supper, get in the recliner, flip on the TV to the History Channel and see if you're too wicked to rest. ZZZZZzzzz
