How about you just take yours loose and measure it with your harbor freight vernier caliper?

Built

Why?   You are the first one to go back to the vacsucker that I can remember actually really doing it (or being willing to say that they are doing it).

Why might be important, so share with us if you don't mind.

I know we got folks collecting up some old vacsuckers trying to identify why they quit working correctly (and we are waiting for that analysis as it is the first time folks have collected more than one failed vacsucker at a time).

======

The hose is measured by the ID and the correct id is either 1/4 or 5/16 depending on what you can find (5/16 being the loose fit and 1/4 being the real tight fit)

I purchased 3/16 fuel hose from O'Reilly's. Works great and was cheap. I change the piece once a year regardless. Never had a problem.

Going back because of the of the carb design.. I also went back to air box.. Suzuki/Mikuni knew what they were doing with their fuel mixtures, regardless of any cons :D

It is good thing then you are going back to the stock restrictive filter then.
It will keep your system vac level up high enough to give the vacsucker a fair to middlin' chance to do its job.

I too kept the stock air box, but I went very low air restriction on the air filter itself.   Kept the good air flow characteristics, took my missing 10 hp anyway with the filter, muffler and cam.
