When you have middle class Americans fighting for the right of millionairs to pay a lower tax rate than they do, coming at the expense of their children's education,

As a country we get what we deserve.  The Republicans all  already gearing up for the next off the books war - this time with Iran.  If we vote them in, we deserve to loose thousands of more young men and women, as well as another generation deeper in debt.  The wealthy will not worry, their money is elsewhere.  That anyone thinks that a democratic president can produce non  governmmental jobs is a mystery; most business large and small is owned by epublicans whose sole objective these past four years, is to eliminate universal healthcare..it reduces the profits of business ownershp; you know, the number of Yauhts to emploee ratio. ;D ;D ;D

I see differences, but, that doesnt make one less evil than the other. Im not able to know which will finish us off quicker. I see bammy as an economic disaster, Constitutional nightmare, & I see romknee as the same, tho each will do their damage differently.,Which is more destructive to The American Way? Hard to say.,. all I can say for certain is, neither will enact policy changes that will change our direction. Neither will decrease the rate of our economic destruction. Which will increase it more? No way to know,,

Ive Seen the video of him making a statement, then another statement 180* from the first, & with a Straight FACE! I cant imagine anyone supporting that guy.. whats wrong with them? Do they wake up in a new world every day & drink Todays New Jug O Kool-Aid? Cant they remember what was said earlier? Cant they see the lies?

BUt that being the case, Bammy's record is nothing I can support, either.
Which one to vote against by casting a vote FOR one I dislike? I simply do Not KNow &, at this point, I see no reason to even bother.

By voting I am making a statement, I am saying I Believe in the system & that I believe my vote matters to the future of the country. I am saying I believe one of these guys should be in office, & I believe none of that. By voting, en mass, we are telling the criminals who run this trainwreck we believe our vote has the power to change the things in DC that arent working out for America. It Doesnt. Carlin was right, Ike (IIRC) tried to warn us as he was leaving office. Other leaders & insiders in DC have made statements to the effect "There is a power in Washington that rules us, a power unseen, yet, so formidable none speak out loud against it"..^& people can chalk all that up to paranoia, or, they can look at how things are & ask themselves,


"IF those things are true, then what would our society look like?"

If the answer you get is one of continual decline in society & increased debt & more wars,, then you mite wanna slow down on that judgement of those who see a dark hand guiding us..

Y'know here is a speech of obama's that word for word seems to be the same one he gave in 08 ... it was on youtube ... literally word for word. Snippets include 'crumbling roads and bridges" ... ironically they are still crumbling ... I rate him as consistent and true ... and Romney is neither. You never know which the real romney is.

For the benefit of my good friend, Lifter, I can't see how anyone who thinks with his head instead of with his stomach could ever vote for Obama.

While I've said for the past four years, he's an OK fellow, smart, and I think he's fairly much "what you see is what you get".  It's what I've seen that bothers me.

My problem is simple - I believe in lower taxes for those who produce jobs and wealth - less tax means more money to invest.  More investment means true economic growth - not the false kinds of shots in the arm that a nation gets from gov't spending.  How can you look at Greece, Spain, Portugal, etc. and not see the results of a gov't largess life style?

You can spout negative platitudes about Romney all day long.  But here is a guy who first, donated his inheritance to charity, then set about making a ton of money on his own.  He rescued the winter Olympics when we were about to become an international farce.

We middle class Republicans support business, because business is, or at least was, what America is all about.  Business creates true jobs and true wealth.  Gov't spending creates the illusion of something, but not the kinds of jobs that in turn, create national wealth and increased productivity.  Of course, many gov't jobs are necessary - police, fire, military, etc. are honorable jobs.

I guess it all boils down to some simple thoughts such as admiring, not vilifying, those who succeed, and trying to aim oneself to a higher economic status, rather that going around crying, "woe is me - please, gov't, save me from myself".

Nope, In india if a farmer commits suicide there is some weird govt aid available for the family.
There was a semi satirical but rooted in reality movie made in the last couple years - I believe its called "Peepli live" about a live coverage of a village called peepli where one farmer is going to commit suicide. The suicide itself and the media storm in such a small village is the story.

Real suicide. Not metaphorical, once again webster, you need to see the real world not just what Rush Lamebag tells you is the real world.
