Wouldn't trade my Savage for one, it did have problems, but then, so did all of the bikes in the 60's. They just had different problems. Brit bikes leaked, and Jap bikes didn't, but Brit bikes handles, and Jap bikes didn't. What you rode depended upon which set of problems you could live with, and what was most important to you in a bike. All in all, while the Savage has its own set of problems, given the whole package, it is what I choose to ride. Oh yes, it puts a lot of smiles on my face. |
