Title: Debates Post by Drifter on 10/04/12 at 05:24:43 Obama 2 Romney 1 Biden1 Ryan 0 I was amazed that obama was so docile last night and let romney get away with several Lies all fact checked. He could have ended this race last night but did not mention the 47 or ryans 25% remarks or several other flip flops.....2 more chances. The mod sucked as well! Biden put ryan in his place last night no more getting away with lies! Good news last night in round 2 Obama handed mit his stones, about time he told the real story of this election and what it means for all of us. Number 3 clearly went to Obama more facts better comand of the room, 4 more for 44. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/04/12 at 08:09:52 Romney took that one, Obama did not counter his attacks at all, I could have done a better job! Maybe Obama is tired of being President? |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Serowbot on 10/04/12 at 08:35:26 I heard Romney's technique referred to as "debate and switch"... ;D... Definitely a moving target of facts and positions... I hope Obama is ready for it next tine... :-?... |
Title: Re: Debates Post by arteacher on 10/04/12 at 16:37:56 The big question is: will it change anybody's vote? |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Midnightrider on 10/04/12 at 16:42:45 I made a comment a while back predicting Obama would massacre Romney in the debates. I just want to say I'm man enough to admit it when I'm wrong. |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/04/12 at 20:38:11 The debate and Romney kept reminding me of something all day, couldn't put my finger on it.. Then it hit me, he reminded me of a Boss I used to have, he didn't know crap about the job I and others did, but loved to dress down the employees at every chance, knowing that they most likely wouldn't tell him he was full of crap.. The impotance of this debate was huge for Romney, but means very little in the bigger picture.. If you remember Kerry beat up on Bush somethin terrible in the debates, but remember the outcome.. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by mpescatori on 10/05/12 at 01:57:23 I understand there are three debates. It reminds me of a three-round boxing match. IF my intuition is correct, President Obama allowed Mick Romney to run free and wild, and simply studied his moves. I expect President Obama to make his move and stand his ground in the next Debate, and fight with all he's got in the third Round. TKO will be declared on Nov. 6th... best man standing. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Drifter on 10/05/12 at 03:59:10 Well he cant do any worse in the next 2, even if its a tie it would be a big improvement. I do agree the rope a dope will end in round 2. In due time we will see... ::) The Biden, lyin ryan debate should be interesting.....biden has a bit of a temper, dont think lyin will be able to get away with the lies like romney did. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by srinath on 10/05/12 at 12:01:21 Obama is a bad debater. Only reason in 08 it looked like it was a good one was cos McCain was even worse. Cool. Srinath. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/05/12 at 16:54:33 Yep and Romney is masterbater.......... ;D |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Drifter on 10/12/12 at 04:53:17 Well i watched last night and it was great to see Biden call out all of ryans lies and stopped his BS lines in there tracks. That old man still has it! Seemed ryan as usual would never give a specific answer to anything. I guess he did not know afgan troops are replacing Americans....clueless! Want another war or 2 ......vote ryan romney! :( Want your social security changed want medicare turned to a voucher vote ryan romney! :-? :-? |
Title: Re: Debates Post by srinath on 10/12/12 at 05:31:30 Biden has gaffes ... like most of us - and in this case I'll pertain to myself. When things are loose and relaxed I make tons of mistakes. This includes exams etc when I was a kid, it was so easy I'd get bored ... and flunk. When they are in a situation, they bring out their best game. I'd pull off near impossible feats and fail @ the simplest. Cool. Srinath. |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Starlifter on 10/14/12 at 20:54:26 It was obvious to any reasonable person that Biden won the debate. It wasn't even close. Biden controlled the discussion, refuted everything out of Ryan's mouth and to Democrats and Independents was obviously the winner. However to Republicans, Biden was mean and disrespectful to Ryan and in their mind actually lost. This is how Republicans have behaved for years now. Anything that does not fit with their world view is either ignored or denied. Scientific proof and fact checkers mean nothing, Romney's campaign even admitted that "We Will Not 'Be Dictated By Fact-Checkers." When someone is willing to damage the country they profess to love as long as by doing so they damage the black president that they hate with every fiber of their being, when they're willing to deny any fact and willing to believe any lie then there is nothing that reasonable and rational people can do to convince them otherwise. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/14/12 at 21:16:32 YOur persistent screeching about Black President & Hate is old & tired. I know people who voted for him last time who will not again. Are they now racist? I NEVER wanted him. I KNew he was gonna suck. Am I racist? Can someone Not LIke Him & not be racist? What about the black people who wont vote for him? Arew they racist too? DUDE,, get OFF of it. Sick & tired of the Hate because he is Black CRAP. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Starlifter on 10/15/12 at 12:46:58 What do you care? Your not voting, or your throwing your vote away on Ron Paul. So you don't count. And you say we are all doomed anyway...so again what do you care? DUDE,,, sick and tired of your negative vews of everything, and I think a few others are tired of YOUR crap too. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by srinath on 10/15/12 at 13:04:13 OK OK I am guilty, you found out. I hate mexicans. I hate the way they are a leech off our system, and how they have abused the 14th amendment and how they have under cut the entire labor market ... we wont have a 1/2% unemployment if we kicked the 80 million illegals and their leeching anchor babies we are educating for free out. Trust me, I am truly racist. Therefore I aint voting for Jorge Romney or his anchor baby. I'd have voted for Tom Tancredo if he hadn't failed to launch past the 16 of 2007 ... and he was a moron who wanted a fence ... but otherwise yea ... Cool. Srinath. |

But if you think that many if not most Americans are not racist, than you are not acknowledging the reality of America. You live in Texas...you don't see racist among your people there??? Stop beating around the bush...Why would people who don't have a pot to piss in (especially in the south) vote against their own interests and want to elect a billionaire who says that 47% of Americans are parasites who suck the wealth from the rich. Race doesn't play a gigantic part in this??? Ha ha, give me a break. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Starlifter on 10/15/12 at 20:00:54 There are people who are voting for Rmoney no matter what he may say or do. Especially in the South. He could be Adolph Hitler reincarnated and Obama could be Jesus Christ himself and they would still vote for Rmoney. I wish there was a sensible and complex answer to this, but there isn't. The hate I see for Obama, for those who are against him, is simply rabid. There is no other explanation than Obama haters are pissed that there's a "n!gger" in charge". Sorry to phrase it like that, but they are outraged that there is a black man in charge. That is what it really boils down to. Oh, they'll tell you other reasons and all the stock Fox News talking points about why Obama is so bad. But if you actually confront them and try to get an intelligent answer from them, it is futile. So JOG & others, stop pretending that it is anything other than race. It is a fact of life in America. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/15/12 at 20:03:09 Well,, if so many ARE racists, as you say, how did Bammy ever get in? That old saw again? Voting against your best interests? REally? You talkin short term? Or long term? Cuz I can vote in all KINDS of good stuff for me & mine, short term, but, IF we do that, we kill the country.. get it? |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/15/12 at 21:02:41 Most of the Republican camp has stated over and over again, we don't care who runs, as long as we defeat Obama.. That can't be good for the country... |

However if the Pug's get out of the way We may have a few better roads and bridges, and the rich will be less rich ... cos you see the rich dont need roads, they just fly over them. Title: Re: Debates Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/17/12 at 11:15:13 Im not Certain which will bring us to our knees more quickly. I think Maybe its Obama, based on his record. Im hearing rumblings about gun bans, semi auto anything & everything? Anyone else hearing that? Im Tired of watching America in a spiraling descent. I want one of 2 things. Either policy changes that positively affect the direction of the country, economically & morally, Our global militarism is immoral, our use of DU, destroying populations thru children being mutated by the radioactivity, cancer levels exploding,, what we are doing is EVIL & needs to stop. So, since I KNOW neither one will turn the ship of state away from the course we are on, I am gonna cheer as we crash into the rocks. Ill be happy whoever gets the job, but I Think Ill giggle out loud if its Obama, BUT, I DO Not think he will, because he Seriously upset the globalists when he shut that pipeline down.,I dont think the machines will count his votes right, even IF the people vote for him, And, couple that with all the death threats Romney is getting & the potential for a race war, which would give the elite what they really want, a reason to declare martial law, Im predicting a Romney win, |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/17/12 at 11:40:22 Moving an economy from near disaster, weakening middle class, pure capitalist, and boom/bust deregulation, to a stronger middle class, social balance, and regulating for stability takes more than one man. I do hope Obama gets in, but it will take a majority, and a will by that majority and progressive thought, to put this nation on track for steady growth.. I would much rather see steady slow growth, than boom, and busts.. The next bust we see will be all out depression, we won't see anymore lines for Iphones, the lines will be for bread and soup... That pipeline was a forced hand, it was in the works, pipeline approval is NOT a six month process, sometimes it takes years, pipeline right of way ROW may take many years to achieve, and enviromental can take even longer.. Congress majority forced the hand by the President.. The pipeline in question would be carrying some of the nastiest crude known to man, existing pipelines carrying these oil sand crudes have a very shakey safety record.. Plus the product slated for this pipeline was not for OUR market, it was to be refined by our refinerys, and slated for sale overseas, mainly China... So we take all the risks and the pollution (Oil sands crude have a abundance of heavy metals, nasty stuff in refining process), and get none of the benefits... You ask how do I know this stuff? I was in Pipeline for 22 years +... |
Title: Re: Debates Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/17/12 at 11:53:01 Whether or not his stance was good for America or not isnt the point. He made The Elite mad at him by not working to support it. |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Starlifter on 10/17/12 at 20:46:16 ...ha ha funny sign. Paraquat, you don't say what part of the country your from, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that you live in the south. I see this interesting regional cross-tab in the Gallup daily tracking, where Obama is down six points today: In the North East, it's Obama +6. The Midwest, Obama +5. The West, Obama +6. And the South, Romney +22......Say what?? *********************************************************** The South...The only meaningful contribution they make is college football. I still think we made a mistake taking the South back into the union. I would have hanged every confederate officer. I would have punished the south so much that they would think of hell as a relief. Its a good thing I wasn't alive then. I had a relative (few generations back) take a Confederate bullet for this country. I have no (zero) tolerance for the confederacy, the confederate flag, or any other rebellious / traitorous aspect of the south. Mind your Uncle Sam, Johnny Reb. The Union Forever. |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Midnightrider on 10/18/12 at 15:48:57 Star my ancestors fought in the Civil War but all they were doing was defending their family and homes. They were too poor to afford slaves. Tha Civil war was just like all the rest of em. Not everyone in the south owned plantations and hundreds of slaves, really just a small percentage. It was the rich man getting the poor man to fight his battle. The poor men like my ancestors fought to defend their homes and family because they were being invaded, I dont know if they believed in slavery or not but they fought to defend what was theirs. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Starlifter on 10/18/12 at 19:45:10 Of course you are right Midnight, especally the part about the rich man getting the poor man to fight his battle, and as is usual it was the politicians and generals who started the war (as it is in most wars), with the little people getting the short end of the stick having to do the fighting and losing most of what they had. The problem I have with the civil war is that it was a horrific act of treason by the south. It was an ill-conceived and stupid attempt to tear the country in half by declaring war on the USA and in doing so paying an awful price in blood and treasure on both sides. It was a long time ago, and I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else in my heated rant on that terrible conflict. Please pardon me if I did offend. :-? |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/18/12 at 20:27:08 The sad part of our history is the fact that we are being drawn back into another civil war, it seems we have let ourselves become polarized by the political talking heads of the media and could let ourselves go over the edge of rationality.. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Paraquat on 10/18/12 at 20:38:22 I just made a post about this on Facebook because I was tired of seeing all the "Love Obama" posts. He is a civil right's attorney who suspended Habeas Corpus and gave the green light to assassinate American citizens without trial. He is a civil right's attorney who wants to infringe upon your constitutional rights. He wants to enact another fire arms ban. It's going to be a bad, slippery slope this time. I can feel it. Why does he want you unarmed? So you're not a threat when he enacts martial law. Which is the next step after suspending Habeas Corpus. Lincoln did it in 1864... which was during the Civil War - which was strictly, only, and entirely about freeing the slaves. No other motives at all, I'm sure. You heard it right there from Midnight. They felt they were being "invaded" http://www.sott.net/article/238844-US-Suspend-Habeas-Corpus-and-Enact-Martial-Law --Steve |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Midnightrider on 10/18/12 at 20:44:05 Star I know you well enough that no matter where I live you'll always like and respect me and I the same with you.. We both know wars are the leaders fault, not the peon on the front line. The Civil war for a lot of southerners was just protecting their home and family. I'm not saying the South was right' anything but that but a lot of good people had to shoot back or die. I live in the midst of a bunch of frigging idiots, civil war reinactors, klansmen etc. I'm just as disgusted with the BS as you are. I thought I had many friends at the company I worked for for 37 years, I had to leave when I became ill with Lupus. There's only one guy I worked with who has called me every week to check and see how I'm doing since I left 4 years ago. He's a Mexican. One of the regular visitors to my house is a Black retired State Patrolman. We play with RC Models. He arrested me in 1991 for DWI LOL. Being a musician I have worked and enjoyed working with several different nationalities. We're different but we're all the same. I judge people by the way they treat me, not by the color of their skin. Its the Whitey Wall St and Banker SOB's that are destroying this country, not the immigrants. For those of you out there who insist on being pregidous there's a good place to start. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Midnightrider on 10/18/12 at 21:28:53 Paraquat, Obama has had 4 years to do something about firearms and he's done nothing. As far as the record Bush was tougher on firearms than Obama. He's had every right to with Gabby being shot and the movie theater massacre but he hasnt. The military has been developing microwaves that will melt us all in the streets includind your AK47 you're holding in your hand. Nothing you have locked in your closet can protect you, might make you feel better having it but the military has something better. They can fly a plane of chemicals over your property and in a few hrs you'll be lying on the floor dead beside your AK47. Our guns they allow us to have are a joke and Washington knows it. Name one freedom you've lost in the last four years, just one. I'm anything but in love with Obama but I consider him the lesser of the two evils. W got us in this mess and its gonna take someone who thinks differently to get us out if thats possible. More tax cuts to the rich and large corporations will put us in the deepest depression ever. I could never bring myself to vote for a man who has offshore accounts to avoid taxes and then calls 47% of the population moochers. That more than explains the mans character. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Starlifter on 10/18/12 at 22:18:08 Obama gun ban?? This false meme is addressed to lowest of the low information voters. Evidently, partisans on certain issues will believe anything, and the Repubs are more than willing to exploit that gullibility. |

Title: Re: Debates Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/19/12 at 00:11:24 Im gonna hafta guess you guys also failed to grasp the meaning of the NDAA,, it was demanded By Bammy that the language that would allow YOU to be disappeared be included, And, if you dont believe he is hostile to the 2nd, youre not paying attention., |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Midnightrider on 10/19/12 at 02:01:03 JOG I'm paying attention. The writing is on the wall but no one will read it. The monuments, the secret societies that killed Kenedy, the Federal Reserve screwing us, the false terrorist alerts, the uncalled for stupid wars. I honestly believe the powers that be (not Washington) want Obama to lose hoping for a civil race war so they can try out their new toys. That explains the above link. If the vote is real close like when Gore actually beat Bush you can expect riots. They keep pumping just enough money to Romney to make the polls almost even. Pretty good timing on the above link. |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/19/12 at 07:16:15 OMG, again??? Again the fear and paranoia come down the road for all to see.. If you are an enemy combatant, you are only due the rules under the Geneva convention, terrorists are enemy combatants, period.. They do not have the same rights as a citizen of this USA, habeas corpus does not apply, you do have the right to a military tribunal, but they can hold you as long as they want. Kill list? Yep, we are after these people, these are also people that are enemy combatants, have comitted atrocities, acts of terror, they are enemies of the state.. So unless you want rage Jihad on the this nation, you have only lost the right to board an airplane without search.. Obama said he would "Entertain" a assault gun ban IF it was the will of the people.. Entertaining something and actually doing it are two seperate items.. Hell, I entertain having a brand new Victory Cross roads, with all the bells and whistles, I also have entertained asking the foxy neighbor lady to a roll in the hay, but the wife would make Bobbits revenge look like childs play, thats fear! There will be plenty of warning if they come to take your guns, I have the materials on hand, and an area to cache mine for the future if needed.. The government has no way of tracking your guns, guns can be obtained today like going to seven eleven and buying a box of Juju beans.. Myself I don't care if you want to own a 105 Howitzer, but you had better be proficient with it and have a mental health screening to go with it! Fear is a False Evidence Appearing Real, real fear is when the rounds are striking near your head, real fear is hiding under a pile of fresh leaves and brush in the darkness of triple canopy jungle, listening to the voices of a company of NVA look for you, real fear is feeling rounds of .50 cal go through your aircraft at 1500 ft... Not a make believe conspriracy, invented by your or someone elses imagination.. You will have plenty of time in your life to experience real fear, do not invite it into your daily life for no good reason.. Just a word of wisdom from an old man... |

You want to monitor all civilians? Start simple. We'll only tag prisoners and repeat offenders. No one will object to that. Now we'll do it on pets. It'll be great. Lose your dog, scan the microchip, found your dog. No objections there, right? Although I did object and did not chip my dog when I adopted her. It sets a precedent. Give it time. Look at seat belt laws. Don't worry about them. It's just a supplementary law. Oh, we'll never pull you over for just a seat belt violation but if we get you for something else we might tack it on. We'll probably just give you a warning, no real harm. Now seat belt check points are as prevalent as DUI check points. I wouldn't say it's entirely fear. I'd say it's covering every avenue. Title: Re: Debates Post by Paraquat on 10/19/12 at 14:59:24 You know. I love this forum's political section. I love being able to share my opinion and this back and forth banter because at the end of the day I don't give a nuts. I'm not going to do anything about it except sit in my chain and cry over the internet. I don't care who wins or loses because, ideally, I'd like to watch the whole world burn to the ground. I do like discussing, debating, making these posts but I would never take it any further. On the way home I saw some d bag who had those lawn signs up for Obama and someone had put stickers all over it that said "TRAITOR". I got a kick out of seeing that. --Steve |

I have to wonder how these lefties would have acted had Bush enacted these policies.. we are dealing with people who will accept or not accept something, depending on the source. If a dem does it, its good, a bub does the same thing, its bad, intellectual dishonesty.I never understood it, I saw it when I was a kid.. Its as stupid as racism.. Title: Re: Debates Post by Drifter on 10/23/12 at 04:48:07 Romney proved last night he is not ready for the world stage, sheet i thought he was running for israel not the US. Dont understand how such a small litter box of a country has us by the balls....really old! |
Title: Re: Debates Post by WebsterMark on 10/23/12 at 05:18:41 Not sure what you were watching....I read the transcripts in real time and watched it on mute while I listened to the Giants kill my Cardinals; 9-0. Gotta root for the Giants in the series over the Tigers however, but I think Detroit will get the series win. Obama looked small. Besides, just like economic issues, we have 4 actual years to look back on and based on that, obama is in fact, small. Regarding Israel, their importance would be lessened if the majority of Arab countries surrounding them were occupied by cultures with greater redeeming value to offer the world than they do now. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/23/12 at 06:54:20 Romney changed stripes again, in this debate he decided he would agree with Obama on all the tough stuff and not comitt on anything... How can anyone vote for someone who has not shown a solid stand on anything? |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/23/12 at 12:18:05 Are you for real Web? Lets review Romneys platform, shall we? First he was all for bombing Iran, then he's not, then he's for keeping troops in Iraq, then he's not, then we shouldn't pull out of Afghanistan, then we should, then he is for banning all abortion, then he isn't, then he is for getting tough on China, right after he ships some more jobs there, then he spend more on the military, but it won't cost anything, he will cut taxes, but will not increase deficit! It has become clear that this man will say anything, do anything, and change colors from so-called conservative, to moderate liberal, all for a vote.. WHO KNOWS WHAT HE WILL BECOME if he gets in office!!! |
Title: Re: Debates Post by WebsterMark on 10/23/12 at 13:44:17 Well Retread; if you’re saying politicians will say anything, change colors to get elected, that’s not exactly man bites dog news. It has become clear that this man will say anything, do anything, and change colors from so-called conservative, to moderate liberal, all for a vote.. WHO KNOWS WHAT HE WILL BECOME if he gets in office!!! if that fact is something that will keep you from supporting a political candidate well then the most recent national politician to make a 180 degree turn on a major issue was………….wait for it……………… President Obama. He went from the Chick-fil-A position on gay marriage to the Hollywood position on gay marriage. Seems all the time he was ‘standing by traditional marriage’, inside he was fighting a battle with himself. However, with a little nudge from bad poll numbers, his evolution was completed and he swapped sides. You must have been beside yourself when you heard he swapped positions. (no pun intended....) Now, Romney did switch from a woman’s right to kill her baby to a baby’s right to live. At least he went in the right direction on that on. Afghanistan; I’m not aware that he changed anything. I thought he’s said all along he’d pull out as long as conditions on the ground were satisfactory. If not, he’d stay. If he’s said something different, I’ve not seen it, but to be fair, I haven’t looked. As far as the others, not sure. Did he say he’d bomb Iran and then said he wouldn’t? You’re going to have to cite chapter and verse in HIS OWN WORDS as evidence of changing positions. |
Title: Re: Debates Post by Trippah on 10/23/12 at 13:50:02 So long as you don't call it a debate; it really was entertainment for the sound bite level voter. Thankfully, we elected Richard Millhouse Nixon - who buried us in a stupid war. Following his example, Bush (& Cheney) sent us into Iraq. Well, apparantly its War Time again - the Republicans are beating their chests over evil Iran...so enlist now and have a glorius mlitary career. ::) |
Title: Re: Debates Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/23/12 at 13:53:42 I dont see how anyone can actually be FOR either one. I Can see how someone would choose one or the other to vote for, as a vote against the other. I dont see any clear sign that would let me be able to say one way or the other which IS the lesser of the 2 evils, but I dont see how anyone can say either one is what America needs. IMO, they both just scare me to death,, in fact, of all the presidential elections since Ive been an adult, this is the sorriest choice the people have had to work with,, & thats sayin something, since 4 years ago it was pretty bad. At least 4 years ago, the people had one option who had no real history of making messes & telling lies. & they elected him. & I wasnt surprised & I think we got the lesser evil 4 years ago. This time, IDK if there IS a lesser evil,, theyre both horrible. |

Title: Re: Debates Post by Retread on 10/23/12 at 17:08:51 No Web, on the issue of gay marriage everyone is allowed a change of heart, the more people you know the better you understand.. Even Chic-fil-a changed their minds... And again, Romney said he first wanted to ban abortion, then he said he wouldn't sign any legislation, nor had any planned to do so, then he flipped again and went pro-life.. He has to be dizzyy.. All the flips and flops are a matter of record, they are there for all to see.. By the way you are right on JFK and Johnson building Nam, I shook hands with Nixon in country 69 I believe, his words to me and my gunner were "We gonna get you boys home as soon as possible." One thing about Republicans in those days, they said what they did, and they did what they said, and stood by it.. Of course some of that was crooked also... ;D |
Title: Re: Debates Post by WebsterMark on 10/23/12 at 17:34:11 No Web, on the issue of gay marriage everyone is allowed a change of heart, the more people you know the better you understand.. hang on a sec... everyone is "allowed" a change of mind on gay marriage because the more gay people you know the more you understand, but you're not allowed to have a change of heart because you've held babies, seen ultra sounds or just simply grew up....??? and i'm not aware chick-fil-a did anything different. did i miss something? every politician changes positions. its one reason why it's always hard to get them to answer a straight position. I don't think Romney is any different than obama in that regard. But, the point still stands, obama's got no room to talk when it comes to changing positions. besides, he said if he didn't have 'his thing turned around in 2 years, he should be a one term president. He didn't and he's running again; the ultimate flip flop. yea, it's funny how everyone forgets JFK and Johnson's role in Vietnam and try to pin the whole thing on Nixon. |

I didn't go. I'm proud of her; she's doing very well so far. First year is tough but she hit the ground running. Did you serve?? nope; wish I had, but didn't. Title: Re: Debates Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/23/12 at 20:35:45 It is the heights of ridiculous to say that unless someone has "Served in thu Miluterry" they have no right to an opinion about foreign policy,, talk about RUBBISH,, & I WILL have an opinion, an opinion based in fact, about any elected oFISHYal or domestic or foreign policy, whether I vote or not. Someone can change an opinion in three years time, thats not a flip, that is weighing the facts, and being open minded.. What Mitt has done is hardly that, it borders on shiczophrenic.. First he going to ban planned parenthood, make abortion illegal, back Ryans personhood bill, and turn ove Roe Vs Wade.. Now he is all about moderation, abortions allowed for rape and interest, now take in mind this is in a period of six months.... The list is huge, he has turned himself from the radical right, to the moderate liberal, and everyone likes it??? One thing about you staunch Republicans you would rather see a massive idiot/flip flopping/know nothing, than Obama and you'll stick to it no matter what.. Yes Chic-fil-a has changed positions, they have stated they no longer give to organizations that support anti-gay agendas, such as focus on the family, ect... I tried to post a link, but this website accused me of trying to post spam.. Google it.. And The President said "If I cannot turn around this economy in three years, it may be a one term proposition." In my eyes he has turned it around, now if he can get rid of the obstructionists in congress, and the fillibuster prone senate, he could have this nation back on its feet in no time.. My opinion of our roll in the middle east has two parts, we need to first promote a fuel efficient America, back companys like Solasyme which makes diesel fuel and oil products from algae.. We need to dump ethanol from corn production and move it to Kudsa plant extraction.. These technologys do not require the resources to produce high grade bio-fuels.. Get off our oil teat, start by backing diesel hybirds, capable of 100+ MPG, move our energy use to solar/wind, and geothermal. Make it a requirement on all new home starts to have at least 25%.. Once we do not depend on middle eastern oil we can tell em all their on their own, that includes Israel, they want to live in Ft Stinkin desert, let em.. Or we can move em to New Israel Nevada, we have some fine desert right here... But the days of backing dictators, kissing everyones butt that has oil, is over... Also the days of sending our youth overseas to be slaughtered every ten twenty years would be over.. Every young man and woman will have to serve two years after high school, They will guard our borders, we will then move ICE to imigration only, it works for Switzerland.. Then this nation has to decide that a balance of socialist and capitalist is the best route. Socialize medicine, everybody is covered, everybody pays, from birth to death, and make it a self standing system... Legalize pot, tax it.. And maybe even socialize education through college.. Then lower taxes on corporations that hire here, drop import fees for those countrys that are willing to drop theirs, and re-introduce Glass Stegal to stop the legalized gambling in our markets.. I would rather pay 60% in taxes for a system that will support peace, prosperity, health, and welfare of its people.. Thats my opinion, they are like assholes, everybody has one.... Everybody is allowed to have an opinion, I really don't care if you served or not.. One of the things I served to protect was your freedom to speak out.. As a wiser man once said "I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it.." |

I cant imagine being able to do that with the apparent strength of conviction he exudes.. its downright frightening, he is a chameleon, |
