So I bought my 07 s40 about two months ago now and it had only 2300 miles on it. However it has a small engine guard, a windshield (factoy) and a sissy bar. Are all these components that come on these bikes new or are these all accessories that the previous owner must have bought?

Some years had a sissy bar stock,.. windshield and crash bars are add-ons...
Not many factory accessories for this bike, you got most of them... (tons of things you can adapt)...

Sissy bar would have been discontinued about 2008 windshield and saddlebags were about the only factry extra.

If you are thinking of stripping anything off (engine guard...hint, hint) I am looking for a used engine guard in good shape.

Otherwise, sounds like you got a good set-up. Got my bike used at 400 miles with a windshield and saddle bags and it was nice to get the little extras.

Ha, I'll be keeping the engine guard. Mine came with bags but not with the supports, I'm assuming this is somebody who just didnt want to pay extra and didnt think they needed them. I'm hopfully about to put some ammo cans on so I can have hard bags. I just need to find the right size in a plastic version.
