Well, you can also kinda say he doesn't lean over much going around them corners very much either .....

He does most of his braking with his front tire .....

He's proud of his tire mileage and he is well on the way to 21,000 miles which is the current longest lasting H series ME 880 rear tire seen here on the list.

(remember, a picture is worth a 1,000 words)

I think its great getting such big mileage out of a set of tires. My riding style just wont deliver it,

Do those tires grip enough in a corner to grind the pegs?

Yes they grip good enough to grind pegs  ;) I have 15,000 miles on my Metzler tires.

Actually, Justin -- the H series ME 880 is likely going to be the mileage winner of the motorcycle tire mileage portion of the Low Cost Tire Mileage War, but it may not be the lowest cost per mile motorcycle tire (final results are not in yet and will not be in for years now).

And this is me, with a dog in that fight saying this.   Of course my dog is tracking right smartly right now to clean up for overall lowest cost per mile and to have the best mileage of all tires tested .....  Beating the H series ME 880 for total miles is a tough challenge, beating them cost per mile might not be all that hard though.  We got a Shinko doing them some damage right now, and we are waiting for a Maxxis to show up to do the same.

;D

(if I can just keep a healthy inner tube in the silly thing for the whole long long journey and for me to live long enough to complete it)

The first tire I put on was a Maxxis. It worked great, cost almost nothin, ran 5,000 miles, I got another one, same price, stuck like glue, gone in 3,000 miles,,
