Would the gas tank from a Suzuki TU250 fit the Savage/S40? It has a 3.2 gal tank. How big is the tank on a GZ250?

I've often wondered about the GZ250. It's rated at 3.4 gallons and uses a similar mounting system. Of course you would have to move the gauges elsewhere.

Do they even make a GZ250 anymore? Wasn't it replaced by something? Guess you'd have to get a used tank.

If you have to have new, you can still buy a GZ250 tank from Suzuki(EXPENSIVE :o), or you can find them used on Ebay. I'd want to have one in hand to physically compare before I bought, though. It probably won't be a direct bolt on.

Anyone have a GZ250 tank they can compare?

Denim had a thread with a sportster tank on his that looked good, if you can dig up the thread.

I think I'll just stick to what I have. Don't want to get involved with a lot of mods. Looked at e-bay and anywhere from $40 to $360.
