Title: Cone filter
Post by TROX on 09/17/12 at 16:54:05

I am going to be re-jetting soon and I want to switch to a cone filter while I have everything apart. Can anyone recommend a good filter ?

For the breather I used a small K&N with a 3/8 barb sticking out. I had to order it through Autozone.com

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/K-N-2-in-o-d-x-1-5-in-chrome-top-and-steel-base-crankcase-vent-filter-with-375-in-o-d-flange/_/N-25xh?itemIdentifier=92524_0_0_

I ordered it with that screw on top so I could secure it somewhere.

K&N # RC-2340 this is one of the shortes one that I,ve found and it will clear gas tank frame mount plus lowered  seat pan on frame, you will have to rejet with this one

Here's how I handled the air filter and legal breather system on the Double RYCA build.  Putting a small filter on the end of a tube, venting the crankcase fumes overboard will get you a ticky-pie-ticky-poo in the metro Atlanta area.

It starts around reply #130.

I really like your breather idea. I asked about it in your build thread.

Thanks.  It appears to be working well.  I have a couple hundred miles on the thing, now, and it is still in place, no leaks, no difficulties I know of.
