Title: Ryca Muffler angle adapter question Post by grungeant on 09/17/12 at 13:41:32 I called Ryca, and Ryan said the angle on the muffler adapter is "about 5 degrees" http://shop.rycamotors.com/exhaust_adapter.html Is the 7 degree bend very critical? Is "about 5 degrees" close enough? Do you think it will be good with my muffler? I am using an Emgo Dunstall long reverse cone muffler 80-84051. It's 27.75" long. If I use this adapter will I even need the 7" Cobra Heatshield I have? Should I use the heatshield anyways? If I have an exhaust shop make me something will the heatshield cover it up good enough, and exactly what should I ask for if I go to the exhaust shop? I have 2007 S40. From what I understand if I remove the stock expander adapter it is the same size as the Emgo mufflers. Is this correct? If the Ryca adapter + Ryca mount = bolt on plug and play no thinking results I am just going to order this stuff tonight so it is here on my next day off. When you put it on which way does the bend go? is it straight out, or out and down? |

Whichever way points the muffler in the right direction to bring the muffler in line with the mounts. Dont just go hammering anything together till youre sure its lined up like ya need it., never a bad idea to have a Black Sharpie handy to make marks on things. |
