Title: Question on exhaust discoloration. Post by Blue04Savage on 09/02/12 at 22:01:56 My bike has a very slight discoloration to the exhaust. It's slightly yellowish. I assume this is from an improper air/fuel mixture. Should I worry about it? Does this mean it's running a little lean, or rich? It's very slight. I can attach a picture if it would help. Thanks. |
Title: Re: Question on exhaust discoloration. Post by Serowbot on 09/02/12 at 22:25:15 Don't worry about it,.. it's an air cooled, big, thumper... Mine's yellow, gold, blue, and black... run's like a top and is approaching 30k miles... and I expect to hit 100k... Many reasons for pipe discolouration,.. the big one is,.. we're sending all 650cc of power down one pipe... Temp, elevation, traffic, humidity,.. ;)... http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt82/serowbot/tm006.jpg |
Title: Re: Question on exhaust discoloration. Post by Routy on 09/03/12 at 03:37:14 There are those that think there must be something wrong if the pipe has anything but a pure chrome look. All that tells me is that it ain't been rode yet ! :o |
