Title: Question on exhaust discoloration.
Post by Blue04Savage on 09/02/12 at 22:01:56

My bike has a very slight discoloration to the exhaust.  It's slightly yellowish.  I assume this is from an improper air/fuel mixture.  Should I worry about it?  Does this mean it's running a little lean, or rich?  It's very slight.  I can attach a picture if it would help.

Thanks.

Don't worry about it,.. it's an air cooled, big, thumper...

Mine's yellow, gold, blue, and black...  run's like a top and is approaching 30k miles... and I expect to hit 100k...

Many reasons for pipe discolouration,.. the big one is,.. we're sending all 650cc of power down one pipe...
Temp, elevation, traffic, humidity,..

;)...

There are those that think there must be something wrong if the pipe has anything but a pure chrome look. All that tells me is that it ain't been rode yet ! :o

My pipe looks like new bike is stock and has over 11000 miles on it some of them  hard ones I'am not afraid to get on it from time to time.
