The Clymer manual shows that the Pilot screw was set at 1-3/4 turns with a 47.5 Pilot Jet and a 125 Main Jet.  It shows 2 other jet combinations as being included on stock bikes, and just lists the air screw as "pre set" for the 47.5 pilot jet and a 155 Main......and the same "pre set" for the 47.5 pilot and a 145 Main.

Any time youre gonna change an adjustment like this, first step is close it & count turns in, Write it down, maybe even mark the screw,, so you can always get back to Square One.
Soft Brass, tiny pointy tip, close it with fingertips, a secretary's fingertips, not the 6 million dollar mans fingertips.
