Title: Needs Custom Carburator for 1984 Savage
Post by bikaone on 08/18/12 at 10:16:04

Anyone would know where to get a different brand carburetor rather than the pain in the ass Mikuni? Everyone is complaining against it so i would like to replace it with a different brand. Any advice? My bike only has 3770 miles on it and the gas pouring out on the air filter. The carb already had the needle replaced like a year ago, i am tired of this fight. Maybe it stocked? I don't want to rebuild it . Please help , if anyone would know a more reliable carb would be nice to hear from it..thanks..

The stock carb is the simplest, least PIA, you'll find...
From there it gets more complicated, not less...

Your symptoms may not be carb at all,... try this test...
Test your Petcock,.. don't just turn it to Prime.. (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1251932429/1)

I really appreciate your help. Already ordered new petcock from the link. I have to replace the DIAPHRAGM to . Is  it difficult to remove? I cant find any help on that so far. It is looks like it a threaded plastic washer holds it in place? The new diaphragm still have to be located. The whole kit is 158$ what i don't really need it. I have the feeling this two parts will solve all my issues. Thanks for any help again....
