Huge hello hugs to all... So sorry for being absent for
awhile..
1st of all, I want to reassure all that sent me squares for
Skat's quilt, that it will be completed. I did start on it and
then had some delays.
I will be honest in telling you that once she passed, it was
very hard for me to even face the project. I had to go thru
the grieving process and now I feel I can not only get going
on it once again, but complete it as well. I can't give a definite
date on the completion yet will keep in contact as it progresses..

I am also down 90 lbs now and have at at least 10 to go for my
personal goal. I may go another 10 after that yet will see how it
goes. All the hours and hard work have paid off very nicely. I am
feeling very good and energy level is amazing compared to a year
ago.
The owner of the gym wants to place a pic as well as do a story of
myself in the gym. I have been told by several I am an inspiration to
them to keep moving. I tell them that is the key, keep moving..
Eat right, move, move, move....

Also I am working tonight and then flying out tomorrow afternoon to
Sacramento, Ca.. My Mom is turning 79 on Sat and I am surprising her
for her Birthday.. Sis will pick me up at the airport and I will return home
Tuesday late evening.. Then return to work Wednesday evening..
I have not seen my mom in 1.5 years and she has not seen a pic of myself
since I lost 55 lbs so this is really going to be a huge surprise for her as well..

I am still riiding and infact planning to ride to work this evening.
Ok well time to check on last min stuff, suitcase packed, phone
charged and mins updated, chager in suitcase.
Gotta figure out a way to get Genie in the suitcase..llolol...

Great to hear from you. Life does have a way of grabbing our attention. It sounds as if yours has been productive and rewarding. It is so nice to hear the good stories on this site.

And how surprised was your Mom and seeing the smaller you? I bet it made her birthday perfect!

Arrived back home late Tuesday night..
Mom was very surprised and had it not
been for my hair color, she would not have
recognized me. She was so happy and we
had a great time.. I even got to raid her closet..
OMG we both laughed as she kept pulling out
blouses and I was able to wear them..
I came home with a new wardrobe compliments
of Mom's closet..:) She has great taste in clothes..

She even asked, can you believe it, your wearing
my clothes?..
I said, yeah who would have ever thought?
Now she has room for new things herself.. :)
I may have to revisit soon.. :)
Time went way to fast and weather was absolutely
gorgeous. I even got a tan started..
Took Genie out yesterday for a nice ride with hubby
and even rode her to work last night and will do so
again this evening..
Getting back into the routine and will post a couple pics
soon. Time to finish getting ready for work..
