Holy crap, that's a lot of power for a bicycle.

That thing looks awesome and totally terrifying!!
I can't believe it still has the belt drive and forward controls, but WOW!
Looks like the whole front girder is hand made, just like the frame.
WHERE ON EARTH DID YOU FIND THIS?
:o :o

I found a much higher res version of the image
http://images4.hiboox.com/images/1312/8b0d662e1ae13f0b1f06cb6a44187a08.jpg, looks like it has a jockey shifter.  That has to be interesting to ride.

I also checked out Google street view to see if there was anything interesting nearby that might point towards more information, but it's all restaurants and organic markets.

Also, the seat looks like a Brooks leather bicycle saddle.  :o

"Honest, officer, it's a 49CC scooter."

*Don't need to register anything 49cc and under here in the states.

I been waiting to ask you guys, and here is a good time: My cousin traded for a Harley in about 1975 or so with the same exact look. I think it had a 165cc two stroke. Of course it had big handlebars like a Schwinn bike of that day. Tires like this one with big long fenders and a big bicycle looking seat. And a bigger tank, of course. We all liked riding the thing 'cause it was funky. I think it was very late fifties or early sixties. Anybody had one or know about it?  :)

Me thinks this must be one of the most adaptive powerplants given the power for its compactness...

Boofer,
Search the net for Hummer, 165, & Super-10 models. (Harley Davidson)
They were popular when I was a teenager in the late 50's.   I had a couple of rat versions during that time period.  Japanese bikes started appearing in the 60's & they disappeared.  Only 5 HP, but were super simple to keep running.
