I just installed a dyna muff on my bike and everythimg was peachy.

I rode it around town and everything seemed great. Great sound, a bit more power, overall a better ride.

I ran into some troubles tho on the highway. It ran perfect for about 15 miles @ 70-85mph. Then all the sudden it started to pop a bit and lunge intermitingly until I backed off to 60-65. Any higher and it would start popping and lunging.

Ive got to get her home so Ill take the coast. Low sppeeds arent a problem.

Any ideas as to what can cause this?

Currently running:
Dyna muffler
Foam air filter
52.5 pilot
150 main
1/2 spacer

What sort of petcock do you have and what position was the lever in when the fun started?

Oops forgot to mention... I have the raptor petty. I had it on reserve :-[ :-/ so I thought o sh!!! Im running out of gas... Pulled off and the tank is half full.. :-? So I flip it to on to 'preserve' my reserve and got back on the freeway. The bike exhibited the same characteristics popping at anything past 65.

Try a fuel flow test with the Cap on and the Cap off to see if your having a venting issue with your fuel cap. Also dunno the condition of your fuel tank nor how long you have had the Raptor petty in it, but have you checked the screen on it, and also your in-line fuel filter?

Run it till it starts bucking, reach down & flip the Raptor to OFF, Hit the Kill switch, pull over & measure whats in the bowl,
Compare that to
Raptor on for a minute, off, then measure,,

Sounds like fuel delivery,,

Tried to ride it home lights keep flickering. Loose terminals maybe?
