Title: Too much oil
Post by ezornes239 on 07/01/12 at 16:04:31

Well, I added some oil to my bike today, must've been too much, because now it's spewing out of the fill cap, even though that's tight, it's getting on my exhaust wrap causing smoke and on my legs causing pain.
Any way to fix this? Or am I gonna have to drain it all and start over.

You might be able to put a rubber tube on a turkey baster and suck some out.

simple, remove the timing port cap and oil will come, almost to the right level.  put a strip of tape and a sheet of paper into a pan below the port to get it off the case or it'll run to the bottom of the case.

Yer' oil cap needs a new o-ring... it should be puking out of your breather tube into your air-box...
I know that ain't better, but it's what should happen... :-?...

Its almost hard to get too much oil in'm.
And I'm glad Sero verified what I thought,......that the filler is an O-ring sealed plug, and oil should not come out there even if it was way too full.
