Would anyone care to share some Brands & Part Numbers of some decent cone filters (to fit an '86)?  My research on the forum has been thorough, but it seems there are a lack of part numbers on the folks that have done the mod.  I sincerely appreciate it! ;)

Just Google "57 mm cone type air filters" and you will have more than you can shake a stick at. The cheapest I've seen was around $25 plus shipping, but I don't remember where. Sometimes the internet has easier searching than our forum. Be sure to measure the distance from top to bottom so you know if it will be too long.

I am curious?   What PERCEIVED advantages do folks have about cone (or other) air delivery systems?   In other words, for what reason would you consider another system other than stock (aesthetics, performance, cost, etc.)?

I went the "cone way" in order to clear all the space taken by the air box, and to have some more engine breathing!
