Title: Firestone tire size
Post by Spamy on 06/19/12 at 08:19:23

Anyone know what size best fits on a 18 inch rim conversion on the back?  The 400 or the 450?

Does the 450 (4.5 in) rub or what?

The RYCA guys should know the answer, but I do know that the first RYCA prototype bike had those vintage style Firestones on it, and they had to modify the swingarm brace by cutting some extra space into it to get those tires to fit...

I shot them an email and they said the 400 is the one to use. Those guys are top notch. Always responsive, great products and delivered super fast.  I highly recommend them for any aftermarket parts if your inclined to fix your bike up that way.

I really like the look of the tires. Many people dog on their performance. If I want to get agro l'll use my R1 or my dirtbikes.  Using this bike for performance riding is a bit of a joke, imho.  But its fun to run around on and easy to work on.
