Title: Gear shifter play? Post by Dj12midnit on 06/13/12 at 15:55:23 Getting ready to ride 2000 miles so I was going over the bike. Went down to try and slide the rubber off the gear shift and flip it around, and the gear shift has a lot of play in it. Is this normal? I looked at the micro fiche and it appears it is just a cir clip that holds it in. |

Title: Re: Gear shifter play? Post by Dj12midnit on 06/13/12 at 16:31:43 Well I guess I should be more specific. it does not flop around but I can shake it with my hand. Serowbot I only shook it twice so it is not playing with it. |

Title: Re: Gear shifter play? Post by babyhog on 06/13/12 at 17:43:13 Just went and checked mine. It does wiggle a little, side to side, and up and down, but I'd say not more than maybe 1/8 to 1/4" of movement. Hope its normal. Good luck on your ride. |
Title: Re: Gear shifter play? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 06/13/12 at 17:55:49 Ooookay,, went & looked. Its just a tube on a pin, held by an E-Clip.. No precision at all,it flops around quite a bit.Nooo Problem.. Its a solid connection at the transmission, |
