Title: Re: 6 things no one told you about motorcycles Post by 360k+ on 06/13/12 at 17:50:59 Ha, kinda funny, but true. They left out rodents, tho. I live in a rural foothill environment (1200 feet) and we have field mice, gophers, moles, etc. Our home is sealed pretty well so there's no problem there, but the garage is a different story. Rodents have previously crawled into my motorcycle intakes and "stolen" the air filters; i.e., they bite off little pieces of the paper or foam to use as nesting material. As a result I have to cover the bikes intakes with 1/4 inch chicken wire, which I kinda form around the induction tubes. |

And I do wave at ppl and ppl wave at me (even pesky, snooty BMWs) when I ride my little aprillia scooter, hey, 2 wheels are 2 wheels buddy! 8-) |
Title: Re: 6 things no one told you about motorcycles Post by Savage_Rob on 06/14/12 at 11:04:34 Yeah, I don't know about other areas but spiders and snakes and such are just a fact of life around here. Spiders are definitely the most common. We have lots of brown recluses too. I just make a point to check boots, shoes, gloves, etc. (especially those stored outside or any that haven't been used for a while) before donning them. |

...really? I use the stuff for everything! Good to know, at what % concentration ? Diluted with regular sterile saline solution or what? DIY or can this solution be pharmacy bought? Does this principal work for other things as well? |

I'm pretty sure you didn't really mean IV but as a lavage instead. I've heard of sterilizing it with H²O² and also heard of using baking soda & water paste or activated charcoal & water paste to draw venom out. All of these say to do it several times daily for a few weeks or longer. |

Title: Re: 6 things no one told you about motorcycles Post by Starlifter on 06/16/12 at 21:10:50 Have you tried H2SO4? |
