Welll,,, could just be a coincidence,, orr,, maybe ya didnt tighten a jam nut all the way? Why dont ya pop the valve covers off & just feel of the adjusters & make sure theyre all secure?
Or, are you feeling good about it? YOu sure you got them all tight?
IDK exactly how that would make the black smoke, unless its an exhaust valve not opening, Id start on that side.,Unless you feel good about it, then IDK what it mite be,,

If the valves check out - The symptoms of backfiring, black smoke, etc. sounds like an ignition issue to me.  It could be as simple as a spark plug gone bad - or some problem related to the coil or rotor/stator....or kick stand switch.

OK up date checked the valves all good and tight, pulled the plug and it was extremely fouled not sure why it was looking really good prior to setting the valves but changed the plug and seams to work fine.  if continues to foul plug i will have to get deeper into it LOL
thanks for the help

Is it possible the decomp is stuck?

Check the cable, pull it, look at the part its supposed to rotate, push it in the direction the spring is pushing it.

I doubt seriously thats it, but its zero cost & 3easy to look at.
