You can have a new rim and spokes put on your hub. I dont know in the UK, but over there it would cost around $150 to do it yourself and probably around $250 to have someone do it.

No other wheel is a direct bolt on replacement.

Suzuki GT750 (drum), same with the 500 twin 2 stroke. Just need to play with the spacers and swap on a brake lever and perch. And add a generic Panhead type throttle boss, replace/relocate your right hand switches...

Direct bolt-on? Not even close. Does it work? Yes, unless you have to have stock type front brakes to pass a safety inspection. Which is stupid, the old TLS drum works better than the factory disc set-up...

Technically, I'm right.  ;)

That sounds awesome WD! I wish I'd known that when I was getting my Savage Roadster sorted; might think about it for next winter.
I just did a quick Ebay scan though, and all of the GT750 wheels that came up are disc brakes; same with the GT500's. Only drum brake wheels I found are from the GT380's. They must be harder to come by.
A Google Image search confirms they did come with drums... always loved the look of these bikes; especially in Grape Ne-Hi Purple, but I'm kind of a freak that way...   ;D ;D

Ebay is probably the simplest place to find one.

The 750 drum was switched to disc in mid-year 1969 production. Not sure on the 500 Titan.

Mine is going on my 1963 Honda Scrambler turned street tracker project so I'll have a TLS drum on both ends... No idea where my rear TLS came from.

HEY WD,
You keep making references to this tracker project of yours... got any pics? Or a build thread? I'd love to see it...

It's on the board somewhere. Have to get my wife to reset the computer so I can access the pics again. They're on her website hosting something or other.

Bike hasn't changed since last spring, find the savage Scrambler thread, pics should still be in it.

Google CL72, lose the seat, fenders, side panels and dirt bike bars, switch the CL side pipes for CB low pipes, tank is dark British Racing Green (to match my 69 Dodge truck)...

It's a piece of junk. Hasn't run right since sometime in the 70s.  ;D

Talk about bringing the dead back to life, I haven't lived there in over a year. Panhead is still in Washington, back with the friend I got it from. I really should go get it...

There is a "How To Post Pics" thread in the Technical section - http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1240899665

BUT... some of the original poster's links don't work anymore.  You might be able to figure it out from the post anyway.  If not, I'd be happy to give further instructions...
