I'm just trying to figure out what I should offer someone on some parts from a '95. Does $100 sound fair or am I going to be insulting the guy?

Depends on how new they are and what they look like.

Check the bay of fleas for prices.

any wheel will go for about $50
forks vary, bought a set for $70
I wouldn't expect showroom, but no damage or pitting.

$100 doesn't sound like a bad 1st offer.
And of course, offer what every he'll take.

The stuff on eBay seems way overpriced for the Savage. The sellers are usually looking to get $ 100+ for wheels that are corroded. I have not watched what they want for forks.

It seems that a lot of the bikes I see on eBay that are parted out have front fork and front wheel damage - I guess they are not stopping in time!

Are you looking for the entire fork or just the tubes?

I actually only need one tube but I doubt the guy parting the bike out is going to sell me that. Besides, I figure a bunch of extra parts never hurt. Turns out I don't need the wheel but I'm debating on also getting it just in case...
