Title: carburetor/ jetkit install
Post by mayor4u on 05/28/12 at 09:39:04

was wondering if anyone has tried to rotate the carb 90 deg (while still on the bike) to install a jet kit, looks like if you remove a cable or two, and a few hoses you could loosen the hose clamps on the rubber boots and rotate the carb 90 degrees to access the float bowl, and the vacuum slide without entirely removing the carb? :question

I think I read where that's been done. You might have to take the top off first though.
You can take the bowl off without rotating the carb. It's a b!tch getting the Philips head screws out the first time, but if you replace them with Allen heads it's a breeze the second time.
Just remember to put a rag over the starter so little things don't fall down under it.

I tried rotating mine, but the top of the frame is in the way.
