Title: Lose your idea!
Post by Dave on 05/24/12 at 11:23:09

A friend dropped off a chinese scooter for me to work on....it has sat for too long with fuel in it and needed the fuel system cleaned.  You talk about tiny pilot jets!

The scooter had the manual in the toolbox and I really enjoyed the helpful tips.  For those of you who like to run your bikes inside the garage, read this word for word quote:

WARNING:  Don't shift engine on airtight space.  The waste gas have co with many poisonotics that will make you lose your idea and almost make you die. :o

We have a genuine "Shun-Chun" center for our lathe here at work. The side of the box says it's "presicion" for CNC equipment.

;D  Most times you can figure out the interpretation, but I'm still not sure what your idea is.   :-/

That's awesome.  That beats the motherboard manual I once had that stated "Hard drive can large than 512 MB".

I'm guessing they intend something like "cause memory loss" or "cause loss of consciousness"... Just a guess though.

We receive a lot of shipments from Japan, and the translation that never fails to make me chuckle is "Heaping is no allowed".  With of course a picture of double stacked pallets with a line through it, in case you fail to understand that marvelous explanation. :-?

A couple of friends of mine have a Tank scooter.  All fluids in the owners manual, gas, brake, and oil, are referred to as "gasoline" :o  Um, OK? :-?

Reminds me of a restaurant in my hometown where they misspell "China" on their sign. It's called the Chian Garden :D

One off my personal favorites from the older Yamaha keyboards, when a midi cable is plugged in the display reads "MIDI JACK ON" when it's unplugged,it reads "MIDI JACK OFF".

Don't look now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it really did turn out to be either a squirrel or a sewage rat...

On the other hand, they eat dogs...

One menu writer obviously checked his Chinese/English dictionary for the right word.

Yup, the "Buddha's Delight" (veggie special) had "...snow peas, water chestnut, and edible fungus"!

Well, that is what mushrooms are!   ;D

From a schematic for putting together a patio table and chair set:  Picture of an expanded drawing of a table and of a chair.  Caption reads "Make yourself for to assemble the table."  "Make yourself for to assemble the chair."

Thankfully the Kubota Tractor Corp. researches their English well enough that all setup instructions, owners and service manuals and any other paperwork we see at the dealership is as concise and clear(if not more so) as manuals printed here in the states. As for other paperwork we see from other overseas manufacturers............rots o ruck!!!
