Title: Need a little help
Post by rfw2003 on 05/21/12 at 22:38:27

How does the rear brake light switch cable hook up to the rear brake pedal?   is there a clip that holds it onto the tab?  I was checking out the bike today before bringing it in to get it inspected and registered and noticed that the brake lights were not working with the rear brake pedal and found out that the cable wasn't attached.  Tried looking at the micro fiche on bike bandit and it doesn't show that part at all. There is a ring there that has a hole that is just big enough for the cable end to pass through but I'm guessing I'm missing some sort of clip that holds it in place.

Not near my bike at 11:00 pm,.. but if memory serves... there is a spring with hooks at each end, connecting switch to cable...
:-?... did I win?... :-?...

naw, only 1 spring on the switch end.

the other connects to the pedal thru that tab.

not sure what the clip looks like... it popped off to neverland.

just wrap it with a wire so it don't go back thru, then readjust the switch.
